After the chaos of May, June comes quietly. After several spring rains, Xinjiang, which was still wearing a coat half a month ago, finally ushered in the summer wind carrying heating. Although students who don't do their homework will be severely punished during class, after class they will still surround you with a playful smile and act coquettishly. I remember one time I ran out of pens and borrowed a pen from the class to correct my homework. After class, a girl from the class came to me and asked me what color I liked. In the afternoon, she brought me a bag of pens and notebooks. It is this group of mischievous and playful children who from time to time surprise you in ordinary daily life. It is really touching and helpless.

What impressed me most was that after several teaching assignments, I took charge of a three-year-old math class. The children in the first grade are no more self-conscious than the older children in the sixth grade. Therefore, in the early days of taking over the class, I spent a lot of effort to rectify the homework situation and class discipline. Watching the names on the homework books change from unfamiliar words to familiar faces, I gradually became closer to the students. In the past three weeks, the children would come to hug me every time after class, share interesting stories about their day with me, and send me some handicrafts they made from time to time. In the last class, the children in one class said with tears in their eyes:"Mom, don't go." I was surprised by the name "Mom", and realized that in children's cognitive system, there may be no word that can express their love better than "Mom". Suddenly, the tired and curled nerves that had been exhausted for the past few days felt like they were being smoothed by warm little hands, which warmed my heart. To this day, even though I am no longer their math teacher, they always swarm in groups whenever they see me on campusThe crowd gathered around me, holding my hand and calling me mom. Of course I tried to correct them by calling"Sister", it ended in failure.

Teacher is the most difficult practice

After resolving several such small disputes, I slowly began to have a deeper understanding of the children in the class. What impressed me most were the two boys in the class who were most likely to provoke conflicts, one named Chang Le and the other Juncheng. I had contact with these two students because of previous Young Pioneers activities, so they were not afraid of me. They even deliberately made trouble to attack me in the first few days when I took over as the class teacher, which gave me a headache. Finally, after Changle got into trouble again, I invited his parents. Surprisingly, the person who came was not his mother, but the teacher from the small dining table (an organization similar to an education institution that takes care of both food and homework) where he worked. After some communication, we found out that Changle’s parents had been working outside all year round and could not take care of their children, so they placed Changle in the home of a teacher named Xiaodinzhan. According to the teacher, whether at the small dining table or at home, Changle often harasses others and eventually breaks out into quarrels. In fact, he just wants to attract other people's attention and lacks love. This reminded me of the previous event, where the parents of other performers came to the w88 casino to watch the performance, but no one from Le's family came, and he even cried because of it. As for Juncheng, his personality is even more awkward than Changle. But even though he is so naughty, he is still a little boy who reads his father's series of books every day, shares one with me, and gives me a piece of candy when he gets it.
Providing students with anti-terrorism and anti-riot knowledge in class meetings
To talk about what it is like to be a teacher, Song Heng, the leader of our research support group in Qinghai, summed it up very sharply:“Sometimes I feel like Sisyphus in Greek mythology, pushing that stone every day, which is the source of pain and happiness.”
Students are to teachers what stones are to Sisyphus. Day after day, we push students to learn and grow. Every day there will be disobedient children who are disruptive and rebellious, making you worry from morning to night, but you never know that one day their innocent and unconstrained little minds will bring you surprises and warmth that hit your soul.
