During the two-month social practice, I worked in the board of directors office of Hainan Nongken Investment Holding Group Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as the "board office"). The Board of Directors Office is mainly responsible for the system construction, document writing, daily meeting affairs, etc. of the group's board of directors. It also needs to coordinate horizontally and vertically with other departments of the group headquarters and subordinate enterprises. It can be said to be a comprehensive department of the group. Hainan Farm Reclamation is a large-scale state-owned enterprise with 49 subsidiaries. It has a long history and is involved in industries including natural rubber, tropical crops, breeding, breeding, finance, tourism, real estate, etc. Therefore, if you want to be qualified for the job of the director, you must not only be familiar with the history of Hainan Farm Reclamation and the company's business, but also need to have a strong writing skills, a sound knowledge system, rich practical experience and good communication and coordination skills.
My major and research direction is modern Chinese history. When I first arrived at my job, I inevitably felt that there was a certain gap between what I learned and what I applied. In this regard, I constantly adjust my thinking and vision to integrate myself into the new environment as soon as possible and contribute to the unit. In order for me to have a comprehensive understanding of the company's operations, the leaders of the board of directors specially arranged for me to conduct research at each secondary company of the group to understand the company's situation and national conditions. In more than a month, I followed my leaders and colleagues to inspect more than 10 secondary enterprises including Nanfan, Nanping, Animal Husbandry, Nanjin, Dafeng Coffee, Academy of Agricultural Reclamation Sciences, Guilin Yang Tropical Agricultural Park, Agricultural Reclamation Group Finance Co., Ltd., covering 7 cities and counties including Haikou, Lingao, Danzhou, Sanya, Lingshui, Qiongzhong, and Ding'an. During the research process, I listened carefully and learned about the history of farmland reclamation, corporate governance, industrial planning and other aspects. Everywhere I went and every incident I encountered had new inspirations and new insights. I was not only impressed by the professionalism and dedication of the leaders of the board of directors and colleagues, but also moved by the fighting spirit of tens of thousands of frontline farmland reclamation workers.
In many surveys, the one that impressed me the most was the experience of rubber tapping. In order to get closer to the grassroots and experience first-hand the glorious history of agricultural reclamation serving the country, so as to better do policy research, company system construction and other work, my colleagues and I went to Hainan Rubber Xilian Branch and Jinlian Rubber Processing Branch to have an in-depth understanding of the latex collection, production and processing processes. The beginning and most significant chapter of the history of Hainan's agricultural reclamation is the reclamation and rubber planting industry. The Hainan Rubber Xilian Branch located in Danzhou City is an important witness and participant in the history of China's rubber development. Dong Biwu, Zhu De, Zhou Enlai, Hu Jintao, Xi Jinping and other party and national leaders have visited here for inspections.
At 5:30 in the morning on October 23, we set out to Xilian Farm to learn about rubber planting and cutting, and personally cut rubber under the guidance of rubber workers. The rubber tapping season in Hainan is from March to December every year. Glue workers have to get up at one or two in the morning to tap rubber, and they must finish cutting before dawn. Because the temperature is low and the humidity is high at night, the rubber tree has undergone a small rest and the transpiration effect is small. The tree body is full of water, has good gum, and has a high gum production rate. In order not to cut the tree, the glue worker must be careful and attentive when using the glue knife, and be "steady, accurate, light and fast". After the latex accumulates to a certain level, the glue workers will begin to collect the glue and pour it into the glue bucket. Therefore, the entire rubber tapping process not only requires skilled skills, but also consumes a certain amount of physical strength. After this practice, I deeply realized that every drop of latex is hard-earned, and I admire the hard work of front-line rubber workers even more. Before leaving, the enthusiastic rubber workers also presented us with rubber seeds. This unforgettable rubber tapping experience also planted the seeds of my love for farming in my heart.
After rubber tapping, we went to the Baolian Timber Factory of Haiken Forest Products Group, where workers were busy working on the winning bid for the Winter Olympics, the "National Snowmobile and Sled Center - Awning Wooden Beam Project." Haiken Forest Products Group has invested a lot of manpower and material resources in this project, conducting scientific research, trying to make it a "stepping stone" for industrial transformation and upgrading. Coincidentally, in August this year, in order to write a teaching case, when I visited the Shougang Park, where the Beijing Winter Olympics Organizing Committee is based and one of the main competition venues, I also saw the work scene of Shougang people preparing for the Winter Olympics. From the north to the south, two large state-owned enterprises in the process of transformation seized the historical opportunity of the Winter Olympics and strived to achieve another leap in the development level. The land of China is full of vitality and seeking prosperity. Hainan rubber wood, which embodies the hard work of farmers, will also become an important part of the construction of Winter Olympics venues.
Our main task during this trip to Hainan is to deeply understand the national conditions, enhance our awareness of social responsibility, and improve our overall quality. I have been working in Hainan Farm for more than a month. I have been engaged in work that I have never been exposed to before. Starting from scratch, I have a new understanding of Hainan's economy, national conditions and people's livelihood. I have accumulated rich and vivid cases for future teaching and scientific research, and gained a new life experience.
