Two months later, I came back again as a member of the Qingdao National Conditions Education Practice Group of the International w88 casino. Everything here is still so familiar, and I feel the warmth of home deep in my heart. I think we are lucky to have the opportunity to come to Qingdao to carry out national practice. Qingdao can be called the pearl on the coast of the Yellow Sea, and it is at a critical period of rapid economic development. I slowly found the answer to the first question in practice in Qingdao. Mid-NovemberJointly organized by the Shibei District Municipal Government Working Committee and the Shibei District Committee of the Communist Youth League"Youth Contribution Core Area·English Style Competition", I was fortunate to be invited to serve as the chief judge of the competition, and participated in formulating the speech content, rules, scoring standards, and translating leadership speeches and other materials.The contestants are employees of various government agencies in Shibei District. I participated in the entire preliminaries and finals,Feeling the youthful vitality and unique charm of the young cadre contestants, how do they combine their own work from different perspectivesPromoted the construction of the core area of the International Shipping w88 Innovation Center and presented, including a five-minute English speech and a 90-second impromptu Q&A. When evaluating the performance of the players, you must pay equal attention to encouragement and mentioning shortcomings. Only encouragement can avoid dampening their enthusiasm for learning English. Only raising shortcomings can help them realize their shortcomings and truly improve themselves in future studies.Therefore, the answer to the first question is to give full play to our professional advantages and provide the Qingdao municipal government or enterprises with services and support within our capabilities.
As for the second question, the answer is to combine professional advantages to support the academic research of Qingdao Research Institute.After we came to the Qingdao Research Institute, we launched a "Weekly Doctoral Forum". Seven doctors from our Qingdao National Conditions Education Practice Group took turns to give lectures. Teacher Cao Zhengyu explained to us the branch fields, research objects and research methods of finance in an easy-to-understand language; Teacher Dong Lin popularized for us the application of technological communication, an international frontier and emerging discipline, in life, academia and business; Teacher Fu Zeyu told us extremely rigorously about Marx’s life, thoughts and the main contents of his classic work "Das Kapital", and proposed that Marxism still has important theoretical and practical implications for understanding today’s world. Teacher Shi Xuezhu started from the 2019 Nobel Prize in Economics and gave an in-depth explanation of the research objects and experimental methods of development economics; Teacher Guan Chuanjing analyzed U.S. w88 policy from the perspective of the global value chain, helping us understand the nature and direction of U.S. w88 protectionism; Teacher Xu taught us step by step how to use statistical methods to scientifically and objectively analyze problems in life to prevent being misled in today's era of information explosion. I am the keynote speaker of the 7th forum. I mainly introduced the origin, development and application of pragmatics. Pragmatics is a relatively young branch of linguistics that studies how we use and understand language. It focuses on the communicative activities of speakers and listeners in specific contexts. By sorting out the development process of linguistics, I described the academic background of the emergence of pragmatics, and introduced the classic pragmatic theories—speech act theory, conversational implicature theory, and relevance theory one by one. Then I used examples to focus on explaining the application of pragmatics in daily speech communication, translation, and second language teaching. Finally, I briefly introduced my latest research results. Although my research direction is far from that of other teachers, it is also very inspiring for me to understand their research direction and learn the professional knowledge in their field. Nowadays, interdisciplinary research in the field of linguistics has become a trend. How to integrate Marxist thought, economic thought, statistical methods and language theory will also be the direction of my research. In order to further support the research work of Qingdao Research Institute and apply my expertise to the development of multinational enterprises, I joined the Global Enterprise Research Center and initiated research on pragmatic strategies for business negotiations.
I gained a lot during my two months in Qingdao. I received the warmth and care from the teachers at the Qingdao Research Institute. They arranged the office kitchen for us, equipped us with various office appliances, adjusted the heating for us in winter, took us to watch the movie "My Motherland and Me", participated in the groundbreaking ceremony of the Qingdao International Campus of the University of International w88, visited the Qingdao Achievement Exhibition celebrating the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China, and so on. I gained the friendship of my colleagues. The seven of us eat in the cafeteria of the institute, live in the apartment of the institute, and work in the same office. We get along day and night, help each other, and conduct academic discussions anytime and anywhere. I have gained a sense of identity from the people of the University of International w88. I take seriously everything the organization entrusts me with. I pay attention to my words and deeds because I keep in mind my identity as a teacher of the University of International w88 and Economics. When the leader of Qingdao North District spoke highly of my work, I thought it was his recognition and reward for the University of International w88, and I was very excited. I gained valuable practical experience in my life. I used my professional knowledge to contribute to the construction of the core area of Shibei District and the academic development of Qingdao Research Institute. Although it is small, it is enough to inspire fighting spirit. More importantly, this national practice has enhanced my awareness of social service and pointed out the direction for me to better integrate theory with practice and personal development into social progress and national prosperity.
