[Editor’s note]The Graduate Student Support Teaching Corps is a national demonstration project of the Youth Volunteer Poverty Alleviation Relay Plan jointly organized and implemented by the Youth League Central Committee and the Ministry of Education. My name is Wang Yu. I am a 2019 graduate of the w88 casino of Finance at the w88 casino. I am also a member of the Qinghai branch of the 21st graduate student teaching group of the w88 casino. I want to be your good teacher and your good friend
A century-old plan is based on education. Teachers are the foundation and source of teaching. As a glorious teaching volunteer of the Western Plan, teaching is my core task as a volunteer. How to quickly devote myself to the teaching position, not only impart knowledge to students, but also impart some new ideas and perspectives to them, and how to truly teach and educate people, is a question I thought about repeatedly when I first came here.
In the first semester of volunteer teaching, I served as the chemistry teacher for three classes in the first grade of high w88 casino, one of which was a Tibetan class. I still remember that the first class of w88 casino was the first period on Monday morning. I was very nervous and anxious. I had never even stepped onto the podium and had no chance to listen to other teachers’ classes. I was about to rush to the classroom. Standing outside the classroom, I took a deep breath and opened the door of the classroom pretending to be relaxed. "Let me introduce myself to everyone," I thought as I picked up the whiteboard pen, but couldn't write with this new pen. I panicked a little, and finally succeeded in spreading the ink all over the floor with my help. I pretended not to care and smiled, but I was still a little embarrassed. At this time, thunderous applause suddenly sounded in the originally silent classroom. I looked up at my students and saw their encouraging smiles, which made my heart warm.

As a teacher for the first time, I don’t want my students to fall behind others because of my own reasons. Although the class is only 40 minutes, I will spend five or six hours preparing lessons, preparing materials, taking notes, making courseware, and writing lesson plans. In addition to listening to online classes to prepare all the content of this class, I will use my free time to attend classes of other outstanding teachers in my grade to learn different classroom formats and different teaching methods. Since the chemistry knowledge points are detailed and scattered, I will organize detailed and systematic notes on each section so that I can directly present the intuitive and concise blackboard writing to the students.

In the process of contacting the students, I found that the students here are actually very smart and cute, but they generally have common problems such as poor learning foundation, failure to develop good study habits, and even lack of self-confidence in their own learning. During their growth, they received a "stick education", which is completely different from my experience and the education I received, so I think encouraging education may bring different effects.
Every time I communicate with students, I try to put myself in their shoes, put myself in their shoes and think about what they can achieve based on their foundation, and try to reduce their psychological pressure on learning. I hope that they can accept me first, and then slowly take this subject seriously. Regarding the inevitable problem of copying homework, I also started a battle of wits and courage with my students. After hundreds of rounds of battles, and after I "move with emotion and understand with reason", although this problem cannot be eradicated, it has obviously improved. Many students are willing to choose to complete the homework of this course independently because of me and because they like me.
After a semester of cooperation, my efforts have begun to bear fruit. In several major exams, the class I taught achieved second place in the grade. This is a kind of affirmation for me at work and an encouragement for the students.

In the second semester of teaching as a volunteer, due to the adjustment of liberal arts and science subjects and positions in the w88 casino, I served as the biology teacher for two general science classes in the first grade of high w88 casino, teaching the second compulsory biology course "Heredity and Evolution". This book in Biology Compulsory Course 2 is the focus and difficulty of the entire high w88 casino biology. The change of teaching subjects and the arduous teaching tasks made me feel a certain amount of pressure. Therefore, I increased the requirements for myself and the students. After each lesson, I will ask every student to come to me after class to recite and master it proficiently. This plays a certain role in supervising students with poor independent learning and review abilities. Although the implementation process was painful and infuriating, fortunately we did not give up on each other.
The child who always fell asleep in biology class and never opened his eyes caught my attention. I had a headache and talked to his class teacher countless times. He always woke me up when he was sleeping in class, and most of his homework was copied. But the information I got was that he didn’t want to study, and even wanted to drop out of w88 casino. I still persevered in looking for him many times, trying to reason with him again and again, hoping to break this stubborn heart. Finally, after the conversation when the results of the midterm exam were announced, I suddenly found that something had changed. He never fell asleep in the biology class again, and would stand up on his own initiative when he felt sleepy; he took notes very well, and even if he didn't understand, he would write down the content first; during self-study in the evening, he would even ask me questions that I didn't know in my homework; when checking his endorsement, I had even thought about relaxing my requirements for him, but I didn't expect that the student with the lowest score would memorize better than more than 95% of the classmates in the class. Later I found out that when his self-study classmates asked him that night, "Hey, don't you usually copy your homework? Why do you start writing it yourself?", he would tell them firmly: "I will study biology well from now on." In the final exam, he successfully improved from the last 37th place in the class to the 21st place.
Perhaps it was his existence that made me feel as if I had not truly realized my value as a support teacher until this moment. I don’t know which of my words in that conversation entered his heart, but he made me realize that I have the ability to change a person, and also made me believe that becoming a teacher is a meaningful thing.
In this final exam after one year, the biology scores of the two ordinary classes I taught originally had a gap of more than ten points with the key classes, but now it has narrowed to less than 2 points. I am very eager to prove that although I am a novice teacher, I am not worse than other teachers, and my students are not worse than other students. My students are always the best.

The song I hate listening to the most right now is "Love Song of the West Sea". Every time it reminds me of the day you sang it to me, the day we separated, the day I burst into tears. We saw herds of cattle and sheep together; barbecued and sang together on the grassland; we walked through the streets and bridges of Gangcha together... We joked, talked and made noise like ordinary friends, imagining the beauty of the future.
I used to be afraid that I couldn’t really get close to you, but now it’s hard to say goodbye because I’m so close. I love everything here, I love the grasslands, snow-capped mountains and blue sky of Qinghai, I love the youth, liveliness and bustle of Haibei No. 1 Middle w88 casino, and I love even more your enthusiasm and seriousness in class, the rascals who bargained for homework and endorsements, and your caution when you were afraid that I would be angry... Every scene from the past flashed through my mind like a movie.
