Talking about the characteristics of Beikai Institute, Wang Ying, executive vice president of the National (Beijing) Institute for Opening up to the Outside World, said that each pilot unit has different research fields for Beijing’s development. Beikai Institute will give full play to its own advantages and focus on areas such as opening up to the outside world and the “One Belt, One Road” initiative. Compared with other institutes on campus that focus on research at the national strategic level, the Beikai Institute is rooted in Beijing and is closer to the capital’s opening-up needs, providing it with various research and consulting services.
In order to achieve this goal, the research team of Beikai Research Institute conducts in-depth research on Beijing’s development needs and related policies, actively conducts research work with government departments, enterprises, etc., and gradually cultivates a group of teachers and students who have thorough research on Beijing’s policies. Through grassroots social field research, they obtain first-hand information, understand key issues in related fields and the demands of all parties, and put forward a package of policy recommendations.
In the research field, Beikai Institute focuses on characteristic fields such as "One Belt and One Road", "Comparison of Capitals of Major Countries", "Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Collaborative Opening", "Expanded Opening of the Service Industry", "Digital w88 and Digital Economy". After the outbreak of the COVID-19 epidemic in 2020, Beikai Hospital quickly launched emergency research work. A total of 170 decision-making consultation and policy research reports on COVID-19 prevention and control were submitted throughout the year, of which 84 research results were adopted by higher-level units such as the Ministry of Education and Beijing Municipality. In 2020, the annual research results ranked third among universities in the country and first among economic and w88 universities.
Expand think tank co-construction network

In order to continue to build a new type of think tank with Chinese characteristics, Wang Ying said that in the future, Beikai Institute will consolidate the foundation of think tank research and implement quality and efficiency improvement plans by giving full play to the role of the board of directors and academic committees, improving scientific research management, optimizing think tank management measures, etc.; build a think tank talent team, implement a talent-strengthening w88 casino plan; build a think tank’s own brand, and implement a characteristic brand plan.
