Although studying abroad is short, the knowledge we have learned and the life experiences we have gained during this year are enough to benefit everyone throughout our lives.

The University of Coimbra offers professional courses in Portuguese intensive reading, linguistics, conversation and writing, as well as quality-development courses in Portuguese literature, history, geography, art, etc. In addition, all courses for domestic students are also open to international students, and students can choose to take other courses according to their personal interests. The college also regularly organizes study visits and practical trips for students to show Portuguese customs and religious culture to international students free of charge. In conjunction with the classroom teaching content, the abstract and difficult textbook knowledge is transformed into concrete and tangible examples. The small class teaching also provides us with a very valuable language environment. The all-Portuguese teaching allows everyone to gradually change from being unable to adapt at the beginning to being able to keep up with the teacher's thinking in the first place and fully enjoy the fun of learning and communication. At the same time, international students from different schools also organized various colorful activities. While having fun, the students exercised their language expression skills and gained sincere friendship.

Studying abroad is like practicing Zen. During the process of studying in a foreign country, everyone is practicing living in all aspects, practicing being a person who endures hardships and sheds tears even if the heart is thunderous, trying to face the situation as calm as a lake, practicing being able to endure grievances and loneliness, and then re-recognizing oneself in a completely different world, on the other side of the world. Give and bear, this is the most important lesson we learn. Many students have encountered more or less property damage problems when traveling during the holidays, which reminds us that we should be more vigilant in the future. And our language skills have been unconsciously improved in our daily life when communicating with others.

Behind the years, apart from the shadow of setbacks, there are always some people and things that will undergo the baptism of time and settle down, becoming more and more dazzling. It is true that this year has left everyone with unpleasant memories, but we must admit that our emergency response capabilities have been greatly improved when dealing with various emergencies. We can be more calm when encountering problems and can calm down and seek solutions as soon as possible. And it is precisely with the contrast of setbacks and difficulties that everyone can be more impressed by the warmth gained in study and life. This also reminds us to have the emotion of waiting quietly and the hard work and persistence besides waiting.

I feel more and more that instead of worrying anxiously about an unknown future, it is better to take it slow, don’t think too much, live the present moment seriously, and cherish every moment as the most beautiful, because each of them is so special and cannot be copied, and together they form our unique life. Time has taken away the parts that are easy to pass away, and the remaining brilliance is destined to paint a strong mark on youth. Human growth is not so much instant as it is slow. We are moving step by step towards the way we like. We bumped and bumped all the way, groped and practiced all the way. Those deep and shallow footprints were originally a tinkling and elegant tune.
