Chief Project ExpertHuang BaoyinThe researcher represents the project team and makes a proposal report. Focusing on the major topic of "research on the adjustment of subject settings driven by scientific and technological development and national strategic needs", he reported on the background and significance of the topic selection, research objects and frameworks, research ideas and methods, expected results and innovative contributions, progress since the establishment of the project and next steps. He pointed out that under the influence of scientific and technological development and national strategic needs, the subject system and talent training structure of higher education need to realize the optimization, reconstruction and functional improvement of subject settings through a dynamic adjustment mechanism that combines national macro-control, provincial coordination and university autonomy, and coordinately promote the adjustment and optimization of the professional setting of subject authorization points and the allocation of subject construction resources to serve national strategic goals and high-quality economic and social development. The person in charge of the sub-project made additional remarks on how to carry out the research specifically.
The expert group carefully reviewed the proposal report materials, listened to the proposal report, and expressed opinions and suggestions one by one. Members of the project team responded to the expert group’s opinions. The expert group commented that: the overall goal of the project is clear and the framework design is scientific; the five sub-topics are reasonably set around the overall goal of the project, and the internal logical relationship is clear; the research content is solid and rich, the research team structure is reasonably configured, and the supporting units are fully equipped to ensure the successful completion of the project; it is also recommended to further focus on the research objects and research questions; handle the relationship between disciplines and disciplines, interdisciplinary research and interdisciplinary settings, and current and future talent needs; conduct typical surveys for different regions, different universities, and different disciplines.
