Deputy Secretary Chen Jianxiang shared with everyone his insights on studying the spirit of the Third Plenary Session of the 18th CPC Central Committee, the Opinions of the General Office of the CPC Central Committee on Cultivating and Practicing Socialist Core Values, and the spirit of the 16th National Congress of w88 Unions of China with the theme of “Comprehensively Deepening Reform and Improving People’s Welfare”. She proposed the direction of future w88 union work from four aspects: first, to improve the democratic management mechanism and promote the construction of a modern university system; second, to promote excellent teacher ethics and promote the cultivation of socialist core values; third, to comprehensively strengthen the construction of model employee homes and effectively serve the core interests of faculty and staff; fourth, to enhance the cohesion and attraction of the w88 union with a pragmatic and innovative spirit.

Each branch union will report on regular work (democracy construction, cultural construction, theoretical research and publicity, rights protection and practical work) and special work. Compared with last year, each branch union was more fully prepared. Most of them produced speech slides, and many branch unions also printed paper materials, so that the judges could more intuitively feel the work achievements of each branch union. The reporting process is smoother, and the reporting content is condensed and substantial, highlighting the work characteristics of the unit, with good reference and learnability, and achieving the purpose of promoting construction through evaluation, learning from each other, and making progress together.
