At the political meeting, Professor Cao Shuyan made a keynote speech entitled "Countermeasures and Suggestions for the Development of Cross-border E-Commerce in Beijing" on behalf of the Beijing Municipal Committee of Jiusan Society, and put forward countermeasures and suggestions on the problems existing in the cross-border development of e-commerce in our city. Cao Shuyan pointed out that the development and application of cross-border e-commerce in our city has problems such as imperfect legal and credit protection systems, few electronic payment channels and low security, and excessive logistics costs. She also put forward five suggestions: the government must pay attention to and guide enterprises to actively participate in cross-border e-commerce, and policies should support qualified e-commerce companies to participate in the construction of cross-border payment platforms, and actively explore cross-border e-commerce logistics services.
Professor Wang Jian made written suggestions on promoting the development of e-commerce in our city. He said that the development of e-commerce has greatly promoted the improvement of the comprehensive strength of the local economy, triggered industrial innovation in the new economy, and brought new models of business operations. He suggested that Beijing start with e-commerce in a broad sense, establish research projects, plan national e-commerce demonstration bases and demonstration cities, support the construction of e-commerce transaction platforms, and encourage the development of online virtual products and services.
After listening to the speeches of the participants, Cheng Hong, the deputy mayor of Beijing, delivered a speech. She said that the municipal government will carefully study the suggestions put forward by the committee members, continuously improve e-commerce policies, regulations, and plans, adhere to both promotion and development, and strive to promote the development and prosperity of e-commerce.
Finally, Niu Youcheng, member of the Standing Committee of the Beijing Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China and Minister of the Municipal United Front Work Department, summarized the meeting and delivered an important speech.
