Lin Yonghe is currently the deputy director of the Professional Committee of College Student Psychological Counseling of the Chinese Mental Health Association and the director of the Beijing University Student Psychological Quality Education Research Center. He has been invited to give lectures and exchanges in hundreds of universities across the country.

Professor Lin Yonghe took volunteering for the 2020 Beijing Winter Olympics as an example to provide psychological training on volunteer service for the students present in terms of volunteer spirit, basic knowledge of volunteer service, basic rights and obligations, qualities and skills of volunteers. In his opinion, being a volunteer is happiness, dedication, and greatness. Based on his many years of volunteer experience, Lin Yonghe also shared interesting stories and unforgettable experiences while volunteering at the Beijing Olympics in 2008. His simple words revealed his true feelings, which aroused bursts of applause from the audience. Finally, he concluded with his thoughts on volunteer service at the 2022 Winter Olympics, expressing his hope for student volunteers to actively participate and inherit the volunteer spirit. He emphasized the need to focus on volunteer service and professional training in assisting the disabled in the Winter Paralympics, while also paying attention to the psychological motivation and logistical support of the volunteer group to ensure the smooth hosting of the Winter Olympics.
