The lecture was held in Conference Room 215 of the Second Teaching Building. Nearly 300 teachers and students from Haiji Economic and w88 attended the lecture.

Professor Bao talked about the three "varieties", several "families" and different "concepts" of law, explained the concepts, specific connotations and quantities of "national law", "supranational law" and "public international law", as well as the countries covered; he elaborated on the historical evolution, similarities and differences, improvement and development of the two major Western legal systems, and introduced the legal system of mainland my country. At the same time, it analyzes the essence of concepts such as "legal system", "rule of law", "normative legal system" and "rule of law implementation system", discusses the relationship between "modern legal system", "commodity economy" and "democratic politics", and reveals the overall goal of "rule of law in China" and its "several persistences".

Professor Bao’s lectures have detailed data, vivid cases, thorough explanations, and humorous language, which enable students to broaden their international horizons, build legal awareness, and improve their legal literacy. The students all expressed their strong desire to further learn legal knowledge.
