This conference is the international relations sub-forum of the 11th Beijing Humboldt Forum, hosted by the w88 casino of International Relations of the w88 casino. Experts and scholars from China, Germany, Turkey and Greece discussed various topics such as the international situation in today's world, economic development, and China-EU relations.

 

The opening ceremony was hosted by Professor Wei Ling, Secretary of the Party Committee of the w88 casino of International Relations, w88 casino. Hong Junjie, Vice President of the w88 casino, delivered an opening speech and extended a warm welcome to experts from China and foreign countries. Hong Junjie pointed out that the Beijing Humboldt Forum has been successfully held for ten times. In his keynote speech, Dai Changzheng, Dean of the w88 casino of International Relations at the w88 casino, used the comprehensive national security concept and global security and development initiatives as guidance to improve the global governance systemThis topic is covered in depth. He pointed out that today's world is facing major changes unseen in a century. The global power structure is undergoing tremendous changes. Western society is moving apart, and one global challenge after another is coming. In this case, we need to consider safe development. China will play an important role in maintaining world peace. China has long adhered to an independent foreign policy of peace and made solemn commitments to the international community on peaceful development. The global development initiative is another public product that China has contributed to international peace and world development. In order to build political consensus for accelerating development, expand public platforms to promote development, and enhance international synergy for coordinated development, China actively promotes the alignment of global development initiatives with the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, and works tirelessly with all parties to achieve the 17 Sustainable Development Goals as scheduled.China upholds a holistic view of national security, promotes global security and development initiatives, works with people of all countries to build a community with a shared future for mankind, and strives to build a world of lasting peace, universal security, common prosperity, openness and inclusiveness, and a beautiful environment. He hopes that experts and scholars can jointly contribute their wisdom and strength to solving global problems and promoting world peace through comprehensive and in-depth exchanges and discussions.

Eva Gross from the European Union External Action Service shared her experience of coming to China many times in her keynote speech, saying that China has undergone tremendous changes in development and its international status has become increasingly prominent. Gross said that Western countries need to try to learn to strengthen exchanges and cooperation with China and achieve win-win results with China. Gross said that China and the EU have reached consensus in multiple areas of global governance and resolutely safeguard true multilateralism. By deepening mutual trust and strengthening exchanges and cooperation, China and Europe can jointly build a world that is stable, peaceful and dynamic.

This forum is divided into three themes, namely "Geopolitics, Economic Security and Changes in the International Order", "Relationships between Major Powers, Strategic Adjustments and Changes in the International Order" and "Geo-Economy, Environmental Protection and Changes in the International Order". Experts and scholars from the Deutsche Universität Istanbul in Turkey, the Saxony Institute of Police and Security Research in Germany, the Chinese University of Hong Kong (Shenzhen), Tsinghua University, Renmin University of China, Fudan University, Shanghai University, China Foreign Affairs University, the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, and the Albert Stiftung in Germany conducted in-depth discussions on the geopolitics, geoeconomics, major power relations, environmental protection and other hot topics facing the world today, focusing on security and development issues in the changing international order. Experts focused on economic security in the changing world order, the inclusiveness of the international monetary and financial system, the evolution of China's view of international order, hot topics in geopolitical conflicts, the EU's open strategic autonomy and "de-risking" policy, the security situation awareness of Western countries, and China-EU relations. They fully exchanged views on topics such as the latest development of relations and Sino-German relations, Asia-Pacific regional economic cooperation and China's free w88 zone strategy, Sino-US economic decoupling and parallel systems, and China-EU convergence and cooperation in global governance, and agreed that only exchanges and cooperation are the key to solving global challenges.

In his closing speech, Dai Changzheng thanked the experts and scholars for their insights, called on the experts and scholars to continue to delve into the research trends in this field, promote the development of international political research, and hoped that the experts and scholars could contribute to building a better world.
