As a witness of China’s participation in the multilateral trading system and the co-founder of an international think tank, Mr. Lu Xiankun started his lecture in two parts. One is about WTO reform. Through the analysis of the relevant background of WTO reform, the current main focus content and the next development prospects, it is pointed out that the many difficulties faced by the WTO are a concentrated reflection of the intertwining of multiple international contradictions. WTO reform needs to be observed and understood from a wider scope, and China has been actively participating in it. The second is about better participating in international governance, especially the training and promotion of talents for international organizations. In this regard, students and schools should make long-term plans, prepare in advance, seize opportunities, and conduct detailed analysis of specific issues such as the scope of optional international organizations, professional suitability, breadth of positions, timing, professional ethics and precautions, application channels and diverse attempts, and the potential advantages of Chinese students, providing a large amount of practical information and experience.

During the exchange session, Mr. Lu Xiankun gave detailed answers to questions such as how college students can prepare comprehensive knowledge reserves for future work related to international organizations and what they need to pay attention to when applying for internships in international organizations.

This lecture ended successfully with warm applause from the teachers and students present and thanks to Mr. Lu Xiankun.
