The functional department of the w88 and the college jointly hosted the "AI+" series of academic salons to build an interdisciplinary scientific exchange platform, providing cutting-edge guidance for the thinking innovation of our w88 scholars and inspiring new driving force for the sense of direction of our w88's teachers' career. President Wen pointed out that this year's "Artificial Intelligence +" was written into the government work report for the first time, providing policy support and guidance for the deep integration of financial technology and artificial intelligence.

This issue of the academic salon is themed "Artificial Intelligence and Financial Technology", and invited four young teachers from the w88 of Information and the China w88 of Finance to conduct exchanges. Associate Professor Deng Jun, Vice Dean of China w88 of Finance, shared the latest progress in blockchain and smart contracts. Teacher Yuan Shi of the w88 of Information introduced the opportunities and challenges of artificial intelligence in financial risk management. Teacher Chen Yun of the w88 of Finance discussed the collision of different research paradigms in natural language processing and empirical finance research. Teacher Wang Yifan of the w88 of Information introduced the cutting-edge graph machine learning methods and their applications in intelligent finance.

In the interactive session, participants had in-depth discussions on topics such as how artificial intelligence changes traditional financial investment decision-making methods and the ethical and moral challenges faced by artificial intelligence in financial risk management.

In the guest comment session, Wang Tianyi, Dean of the China Academy of Finance, and Sun Na, Deputy Director of the Development Planning Department, commented on the event.
