Hao Xuguang:Compared with young teachers, we still have many shortcomings. The mathematical foundation and application foundation of young teachers should be much better than those of us old teachers who should have standardized and strict academic training. We are old teachers. Their future will be brighter and their achievements will be greater. To be honest, my achievements are nothing. Their young people can easily surpass us. So in your opinion, how do you balance the relationship between teaching and scientific research?

Hao Xuguang:Strictly speaking, for young teachers, scientific research is indeed very important, because it involves the development of his career. As we all know, in universities, professional titles are an iron lever, and no lever can replace the role of professional titles. Then if you want to evaluate professional titles, under the current evaluation system, it must be scientific research publications. Scientific research and publication requires you to invest a lot of energy in scientific research, which is the foundation of your career.
