Everyday at the Olympic Hospitality center can be classified as a very interesting one. I mean everyday we meet new people and experience different things. This by any standard is already quite interesting.
At the beginning I was kind of in low spirits because I was the only one on duty at the information desk. Usually it's nice to have someone there to talk to, exchange ideas etc. To top that off, it was not a very busy day at the information desk so i was left with my own thoughts. Being alone one on duty at the information desk allowed me to read books about the sponsors and the Olympic Games. I guess that could help me better execute my duty at the OHC.
Today something very interesting happened. It left me thinking about the impact we have on people when we do our job. Today I realized that certain things we do affect the people around us and we should always be caring to people even though we have never met them before. This girl from Volkswagen came in and she wanted to express thanks to volunteers because of our caring attitude towards her during the time of the opening ceremony. I guess we should never underestimate the power of a smile. The way that she seemed pleased really moved me.

I am honored to join this vast volunteer team and become one of the first volunteers for the Beijing Olympic Games. In the process of working together with everyone and learning from each other, I know that whether the volunteers' work is in place is crucial to the success of the Olympic Games. Ordinary and ordinary volunteers shoulder the important task of serving spectators, athletes and the Olympic Games. Especially for athletes and the general audience, we volunteers are the ones who have direct contact with them. Our words, deeds, and service attitude directly affect their impression and evaluation of the Beijing Olympics and China. Compared with many volunteers who work hard under the scorching sun, I think my work is indeed not hard. As a competition volunteer, my tasks are usually to make forms, check information, issue notifications and provide daily work services to competition team members.
