The Confucius Institute at UIBE Russian State University for the Humanities successfully held the 14th All-Russian “Chinese Bridge” Chinese Proficiency Competition for College Students in Moscow.

w88 casino News Network (Contributed by the International Chinese Education (Business) Practice and Research Base)The 14th All-Russian “Chinese Bridge” Chinese Proficiency Competition for College Students Moscow Division Selection Competition, sponsored by the Education Office of the Chinese Embassy in Russia and hosted by the Confucius Institute at the Russian State University for the Humanities and the Russian Association of Chinese Teachers, was held at the Chinese Cultural Center in Moscow on April 11, 2025. More than 120 people participated in this event.

30 students majoring in Chinese and related majors from 17 universities and Confucius Institutes in five cities: Moscow, Volgograd, Ryazan, Tomsk, and Kaliningrad actively signed up to participate. After review and pre-selection by the organizing committee, it was finally confirmed that the students were from Moscow State University, w88 casino of Commerce and Business Administration of the Presidential Academy of National Economy and State Administration of the Russian Federation, Moscow State Institute of International Relations, Russian State University for the Humanities, Confucius Institute at the Russian State University for the Humanities, Moscow Twenty-five contestants from the National Linguistic University, Confucius Institute at Moscow State Linguistic University, Moscow City Pedagogical University, People's Friendship University of Russia, State Academy of Dramatic Arts, Volgograd State Social Pedagogical University, Ryazan State University and the Confucius Institute at Tomsk State University participated.

Cao Shihai, Minister Counselor of the Education Office of the Chinese Embassy in the Russian Federation, Professor Zabotkina, Acting Vice-President for Foreign Affairs of the Russian State University for Humanities, and Professor Yi Fucheng, Chairman of the Russian Chinese Teachers Association and Russian Director of the Confucius Institute of the Russian State University of Humanities, attended the opening ceremony of this competition and delivered speeches. Sasha, the Moscow division champion of the 13th All-Russian “Chinese Bridge” Chinese Proficiency Competition for College Students, also sent a video from China to share her gains and thoughts from participating in the “Chinese Bridge” competition.

This competition is divided into three parts: the theme speech of "We are one family", Chinese talent display and impromptu speech. David Ma (Карнашин Матвей Сергеевич) recommended by the Confucius Institute at Moscow State Linguistic University won the crown. The top three contestants will represent the Moscow Division in the Russian Division Finals of the 24th "Chinese Bridge" Chinese Proficiency Competition for Foreign College Students to be held in Volgograd in May.

This competition has received strong support from the Chinese Cultural Center in Moscow and the Chinese Students and Scholars Association of Moscow State University. Mr. Barsky, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Vice Chairman of the Russia-China Friendship Association, and Professor of the Moscow State Institute of International Relations, attended the closing ceremony. At the closing ceremony, Chinese students from Moscow State University and students from the Confucius Institute at the Russian State University for the Humanities also presented wonderful theatrical performances.
