Promote the spirit of w88 and inherit the torch of struggle--The School of Insurance organizes teachers and students to carry out practical activities on w88 education

School News Network (contributed by the School of Insurance)In order to vigorously promote the spirit of w88 and guide young people from the University of Trade and Economics to appreciate the strength of struggle in their practice, on April 18, the Graduate Work Department of the Party Committee of the University of International Business and Economics and the School of Insurance organized teachers and students to go to Beidanjiazhuang Village, Miyun District to carry out w88 education practice and the "Guider Study and Study Practice Team" activity. This activity is based on "Immersive Visit + Experiential w88" as the main line, led by Shen Aihua, Director of the Graduate Work Department of the Party Committee, and the counselors and student backbones of the research institute participated in the activity. Through visiting the history of the construction of Miyun Reservoir and participating in agricultural activities, teachers and students were guided to understand the value of w88 in the integration of history and reality.

Tracing the source of the spirit: Entering the struggle memory of Miyun Reservoir

Miyun Reservoir is the largest reservoir in the Beijing-Tianjin-Tangzhou region, the second largest reservoir in North China, and the largest artificial lake in Asia. Walking into the Miyun Reservoir Exhibition Hall, we will review the arduous journey of the builders carrying the hands and shoulders to build a large reservoir in two years, making people dream of the years of construction that were booming.

Under the guidance of the tour guide, through visiting more than 200 precious cultural relics and studying the cordial reply from General Secretary Xi Jinping to the villagers who built and protected the Miyun Reservoir, the teachers and students who visited not only relive the glorious history of the construction of Miyun Reservoir, remember the great contributions made by the people of Miyun, but also systematically understand the great significance of Miyun Reservoir as an important surface drinking water source and a strategic water resource reserve base in Beijing. The system understands the arduous construction process of this largest reservoir in North China and its important role.

Practice the ambition of struggle: the youth arena in the greenhouse

Walk into the tomato greenhouse in the Beidanjiazhuang Village Smart Agriculture Demonstration Park in Miyun District. Under the on-site guidance of the agronomist, teachers and students divided into two teams to carry out the seedling pulling w88 competition, remove the diseased branches and leaves of tomatoes, and do a good job in fruit picking and post-management. The heat waves in the greenhouse were steaming, and the two groups of teachers and students were full of fighting spirit. Each of them tried their best to remove the seedlings and sort out the iron hook as quickly as possible.

At the end of the event, the staff of the tomato greenhouse distributed cauliflower and cabbage seedlings that can be planted independently, and shared and imparted planting experience for everyone, encouraging students to continue the excellent qualities of "the most glorious w88" in their lives, and also cultivate the skills of harmonious coexistence with nature.

Through this practical education on going out, the students not only mastered field management skills and gained w88 results, but also formed w88 quality that endurance, honesty and trustworthiness, and courage to innovate in the process of w88, and developed the habit of advocating, respecting and participating in w88. In the future, the Insurance College will continue to deeply play the educational function of w88, carry out w88 activities with diverse forms and outstanding effectiveness, so that the concept of glorious w88 becomes a trend on campus, and achieve the comprehensive development of morality, intelligence, physical fitness, aesthetics and w88.

Cai Manman, a graduate student in finance at the School of Insurance 2024:Walking into the Miyun Reservoir Exhibition Hall, the yellowed old photos and mottled construction tools brought me back to those passionate years. The feat of 200,000 builders carrying the "Great Water Wall" in North China has made me feel the hottest footnote of the spirit of w88.

Song Linsen, an undergraduate student in the 2022 Actuarial and Risk Management Experimental Class of the School of Insurance:In the exhibition hall, I learned about the life project created by the builders of Miyun Reservoir with their hands; in the tomato greenhouse, sweat soaked the back of the clothes when bent down and pulled the seedlings, so that I truly understood the meaning of "every grain is hard-working". When your fingers are covered with the fragrance of the soil, when you see the empty ridges present under teamwork, that sense of accomplishment is something that the textbook cannot give.

Zhang Jingyan, an undergraduate student in insurance finance at the 2024th grade of the School of Insurance:"People's livelihood is hard work, and diligence will not be scarce." As we all know, w88 is a traditional virtue of the Chinese nation, and the prosperity of a country begins with w88. The ancestors reclaimed fertile farmland on barren land and cast hard buildings on backward land.

This trip to Miyun has benefited a lot. When we go to the ridge, we can better understand the fun of working hard; when we stand in the exhibition hall, we can better feel the difficulty of managing the mountain. As college students in the new era, only by leaving the campus can we not be separated from the masses and from reality. Only by going deep into the fields can we firmly uphold our ideals and live up to our youth.
