In the early stage of this forum, papers were solicited from undergraduates at China University of Finance and Economics. Wen Zhifeng, deputy secretary of the Party Committee of the college, attended the opening ceremony of the forum. College teachers Gong Di, Qian Zhenjie, Bian Yang, Liu Jinyu, Wang Aoran, Chen Yun, Jiang Tingfeng, Xu Jia, Sun Yuchen and others attended the forum as commentators. This forum is divided into 3 sub-forums based on different topics. Sub-forum 1 was held in Room 925, Boxue Building, with the theme of "Macro Finance and Commercial Banks". Five students, Song Yupeng, Song Kun, Li Haixin, Jiang Yili, and Song Yixuan, presented their papers on important topics such as central bank communication, local government debt, fiscal policy announcements, and real estate market impacts. Three teachers, Gong Di, Qian Zhenjie, and Bian Yang, commented on the quality of the students’ papers and reporting level. Sub-forum 2 was held in Room 910, Boxue Building, with the theme of "Corporate Finance and Asset Pricing". Five students, Wu Siquan, Wu Chenyu, Chen Zhiqing, Yuan Ziou, and Weng Lei, presented their academic achievements on topics such as corporate commercial credit risk, bond market opening, fund managers’ macro perception, ESG investment spillover effects, and time series momentum. Three teachers, Liu Jinyu, Wang Aoran, and Chen Yun, commented on the quality of the students’ papers and reporting level. Sub-forum 3 was held in Room 920, Boxue Building, with the theme of "Digital Economy and Digital Finance". Five students, Li Zhile, Li Sitong, Liu Xia, Liu Shuangshuang, and Yao Yunyang, focused on cutting-edge topics such as the application of artificial intelligence technology, digital financial development, value release of public data resources, and open government public data, and reported on their academic achievements. Three teachers, Jiang Tingfeng, Xu Jia, and Sun Yuchen, commented on the quality of students’ papers and reporting levels.
After the students’ wonderful thesis presentation and the teacher’s professional comments, the participating teachers and students gathered in room 925 of the Boxue Building, and teacher Jiang Tingfeng presided over the paper award ceremony. Commentary teachers from each group announced the papers that won the first, second, and third prizes, and awarded honorary certificates and cultural and creative prizes to the winning students.
Finally, Gong Di, member of the Party Committee of China University of Finance and Director of the Department of Banking Management, made a concluding speech. He spoke highly of the academic quality of the forum and encouraged the students to live up to the expectations of Mr. Liu Hongru, the former dean of the China Institute of Finance, to continue scientific research and exploration and to bravely reach academic peaks.
In this forum, students conducted discussions around macro finance, corporate finance, digital finance and other fields, which fully demonstrated the students' ability to pay attention to important practical issues in the economic and financial fields and use the knowledge and skills they learned to carry out academic innovation. It also reflected the results of China Finance Institute and Hongru Financial Talent Training Experimental Class in cultivating high-quality financial talents.
