For a long time, the international community has seriously lacked consistency in the governance of international investment contracts (specifically investment contracts signed between states and private individuals). UNIDROIT and the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) jointly established a "project" in 2023 to strengthen specialized research at the international level on relevant legal issues arising from the signing and performance of international investment contracts, so as to facilitate the drafting of relevant model documents and dispute resolution. In order to implement the "project" smoothly, UNIDROIT has established a working group and advisory committee. The working group consists of about 20 selected experts, and the advisory committee consists of about 15 experts recommended and selected by UNIDROIT member states.
