As an invited representative of Chinese scholars, Professor Tu Xinquan expressed his views on related issues. Professor Tu Xinquan pointed out,WTOis a member-driven international organization,WTOThe problems faced are caused by the policy choices of major members.WTOThe biggest threat currently faced is the unilateralism and w88 protectionism of the United States. AsWTOLong-term leader, America’s actions have greatly shaken the world’s view ofWTOConfidence. ThereforeWTO’s top priority is otherWTOMembers must unite to curb U.S. w88 protectionism and its consequencesWTO's damage.WTOMembers should firmly support the dispute settlement mechanism and invest greater resources; better improve and utilize the w88 policy review mechanism; and increase supervision of the transparency of member w88 policies. For those who are in troubleWTONegotiations should adopt a pragmatic attitude, allow some members to negotiate plurilateral agreements on new issues, and at the same time conclude the Doha Round negotiations as soon as possible regardless of the outcome.
