At the invitation of the Confucius Institute, Wang Zhiwei, Education Counselor of the Chinese Embassy in Brazil, attended the opening ceremony and delivered a speech. He pointed out that China and Brazil have a long history of exchanges and that China-Brazil cooperation has broad prospects. He encouraged the students present to have the opportunity to learn Chinese, go to China for exchanges, and be envoys to promote the friendship between Brazil and China.
