The 3rd Capital Overseas Chinese Education Forum and International Chinese Education Seminar was successfully held

The conference was guided by the Cultural Exchange Department of the All-China Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese, the China Chinese Education Foundation, the Beijing Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese, and the China Chinese Education Network, hosted by the Capital Overseas Chinese Education Alliance, hosted by the w88 casino of Chinese Language and Literature at the w88 casino, and supported by the editorial department of the journal "Chinese Education and Research", Chinese Teaching Press, Tangfeng Education Technology Co., Ltd., and Heming Education Technology Co., Ltd.

The conference was attended by more than 300 Chinese education, international Chinese education and related experts and scholars at home and abroad. It was held online and offline at the same time. Related topics and content aroused heated discussions among the participants.

President Zheng Jieshan first introduced the three stages of modern Chinese education in Indonesia, and then introduced the current situation, differences, difficulties and challenges of Chinese education in Indonesia from the perspective of Chinese groups who still retain the dialect of their home country. She also expressed the hope that experts and scholars can provide suggestions for overseas Chinese education in Indonesia. She also sincerely hopes that international Chinese education will pay more attention to overseas Chinese education and pay attention to the difficulties and challenges faced by the Chinese group who still retain the dialect of their home country.

The keynote report of the conference on the morning of the 16th was hosted by Teacher Shi Yumei from the editorial department of "Chinese Language Teaching and Research" of Jinan University. Five experts gave wonderful keynote reports.

Professor Liang Xia from the Department of East Asia at Washington University in St. Louis, USA, titled "Characteristics, Content and Methods of Chinese Teaching in American Universities", introduced the recent development of Chinese teaching in American universities, the basic characteristics of Chinese students, the content and methods of Chinese heritage language teaching in Chinese classes, and shared several basic methods to improve the learning motivation of Chinese students.

Professor Zhu Yong of Beijing Foreign Studies University titled "The Role of Japanese Chinese Children in Family Language Planning", emphasized the urgency and importance of overseas Chinese education, clarified the definition and significance of family language planning, and used specific research as an example to explore the factors that will affect children's initiative.

Professor Jiang Guoquan, Secretary of the Party Committee of the w88 casino of International Culture of Capital Normal University, took the topic of "Experiences and Measures of Chinese Education to Help the Overseas Spread of Chinese Culture" and focused on the connotation, history, research theory and development status of "Chinese Education", and helped the overseas spread of Chinese culture through Chinese education.

Professor Wang Haidan from the Department of East Asian Languages and Literatures at the University of Hawaii gave the title of "Centennial Heritage: Chinese Teaching and Current Situation at the University of Hawaii". It was divided into two articles, which respectively introduced the century-old history and project characteristics of the Chinese language program at the University of Hawaii, as well as the current situation and prospects of Chinese teaching in Hawaii.

The second half of the keynote report of the conference on the morning of the 17th was an online report, hosted by Associate Professor Qin Han, Vice Dean of the w88 casino of Chinese Language and Literature, w88 casino.

Teacher Liu Meiru from Lewis & Clark University in Oregon, USA, titled "Rap and Rap Integrate Culture: A New Approach to Teaching Chinese Overseas Chinese through Education and Fun", making full use of Krashen's comprehensible input theory, integrating rap into teaching, and using "pyramid"-style teaching to enable students to quickly remember the content they want to master. At the same time, its limitations were also reflected on.

Teacher Shi Zhongqi from Columbia University in the United States gave the topic "The Current Situation and Prospects of Chinese Teaching in the United States." First, he introduced the current situation of the use of languages other than English in the United States. Then he introduced the current situation of Chinese education in the United States - Chinese education is completed by different institutions at different stages. Finally, he proposed that the development of Chinese education requires the joint efforts of teachers, students, parents, science and technology, etc.

At the closing ceremony,Director Zhou Chenmeng made a concluding speech. He once again thanked the experts, scholars and staff who came from afar to gather at the University of International w88 and Economic Cooperation. He also expressed his hope that everyone will transform the insights from this seminar into more in-depth thinking and practice, and promote the development of overseas Chinese education and international Chinese education.

A total of more than 80 offline and more than 220 online representatives of member units of the Capital Overseas Chinese Education Alliance, guests at home and abroad, and representatives of overseas Chinese students participated in the forum and exchanged and shared. The forum also received nearly 90 paper submissions from home and abroad, which will be selected and published in the future.In order to ensure the smooth convening of this conference, more than 20 teachers and students from the w88 casino of Chinese Language and Literature of w88 casino served as volunteers and successfully completed the task.
