“w88 is war for peace, and war is w88 for destruction.” This motto from an ancient Greek philosopher is once again thought-provoking in 2025. Since February, the United States has imposed a 10% "minimum baseline tariff" on its global trading partners, and it has stepped up its efforts to impose tariffs on China, with tariffs on China soaring to 245%. The so-called "reciprocal tariffs" stick wielded by Trump will have a profound impact not only on the United States itself, but also on Chinese manufacturing and export companies and the global industrial chain.
Faced with this complex situation, it is crucial for Chinese companies to break through the situation. In this regard, "Entrepreneur" magazine conducted an exclusive interview with Zhao Zhongxiu, President of the w88 casino. As a senior expert in the fields of international w88 and world economy, he has provided valuable analysis and guidance on how Chinese companies can move forward steadily in the tariff war.
Corporate response strategies
Entrepreneur: What impact will this round of tariffs have on Chinese export companies in the short and long term? What are the strategies for companies to resolve crises?
Zhao Zhongxiu: In the short term, it will indeed have a great impact on many domestic export companies and manufacturers, because after April 9, they will have to pay such high taxes on arrival, causing costs to rise. Many export companies have negotiated with buyers to suspend shipments, and some production companies have reduced production or even stopped work. Employees' income has dropped, and corporate pressure has emerged. In this case, the company must consciously increase the inventory at the place of shipment, but at the same time, it must also pay attention to reasonable standards to avoid backlog problems.
In the long run, abnormally high tariffs will always be lowered through consultation and negotiation. Under the new tariff structure, domestic export companies have several ways to resolve the crisis. The first is to expand diversified markets. Enterprises need to sort out and clear up w88 channels, and either turn to other markets or make increments in the original market. The second is to consider entrepot w88 under the new tariff structure and to consider exporting industries overseas. Companies can transfer part of their production links overseas. At present, processing zones and industrial parks in countries such as Thailand and Vietnam are relatively mature. Of course, this also depends on how strongly the United States will block our re-export w88 through Southeast Asian OEM production. The production links we transfer must comply with the value-added standards of the rules of origin. Next, companies must make mid- and long-term plans to adjust and transform industrial and supply chains to adapt to the new tariff structure. The third is to switch exports to domestic sales. Of course, this depends on whether the domestic consumer market can expand in an orderly manner to absorb this part of the production capacity.
《Entrepreneur》: What suggestions do you have for companies to go overseas?
Zhao Zhongxiu: China has now become an important pole in the world's manufacturing industry, with production capacity accounting for 1/3 of the world's. With its production capacity advantages, strong processing capabilities and global resources, China not only processes locally, but can also drive industrial development and transformation in Southeast Asia, Africa and other places through the industrial chain. For example, domestic steel production capacity is exported to Indonesia, where steel is made for local transportation and other infrastructure construction, and there is no need to rely on imported Chinese steel. This is a long-term development path for the domestic industry. The United States and Japan have done this before. Under the new tariff structure, China must do a good job in orderly exporting its industries overseas to avoid the "hollowing out of industries" pitfall that some developed countries have experienced.
"Entrepreneur": In the actual operation, there are problems such as product standard adaptation, sales channel reconstruction, and lack of brand awareness. The specifications of export products are different from domestic demand, it is difficult to reuse the original overseas sales channels, and there is a lack of local brand influence. How should companies quickly adjust product positioning and marketing strategies, build consumer trust, and establish competitive advantages in the domestic market?
Zhao Zhongxiu: Exporting to domestic sales has always been a choice faced by export companies. However, when the export situation is good, many companies do not regard domestic sales as a supplementary market as important, so they pay less attention to domestic sales. When some big brands start to develop, or develop to a certain stage, in their international business strategies, they are relatively clear about which products are for export and which are for domestic sales. For different markets, product standards are also different, including American standards, European standards, etc. Nowadays, for some companies that rely on foreign markets, especially the U.S. single market, it is challenging and difficult to turn around and target the domestic market. Companies need to adopt different product division systems for different markets.
For a stable company, it is necessary to cultivate a balanced market diversification strategy and then improve its ability to adjust and adapt. If an enterprise regards the vast Chinese domestic market as an important destination market, a series of channels, funds, talents, technology, after-sales services, etc. must keep up.
"Entrepreneur": Some people say that in order to increase taxes, goods can be dismantled, such as disassembling air conditioners into components such as compressors, casings, hoses, etc., and then attaching design drawings to let buyers assemble them themselves, because selling products and selling parts are two different tariffs. Is this a joke, or can this really be used to avoid increased tariffs?
Zhao Zhongxiu: This is not a joke, it is indeed done. The tax codes and tax rates corresponding to the whole product and the disassembled product are different. For example, the United States currently imposes a 100% tariff on imported Chinese cars and a 25% tariff on all auto parts. Therefore, new energy vehicles exported from China can actually be exported in the form of disassembly. If the volume is large enough, an assembly plant can be built locally, just like the assembly plant we are building in Spain today. In fact, some daily necessities such as furniture are already doing this, and American consumers may also be very accustomed to DIY (do-it-yourself). In short, this can become a foreign w88 export path under the new tariffs.
In addition, companies must adjust their strategies during Trump’s term and consider how to expand new opportunities after Trump’s term.
Opportunities under the new tariff structure
"Entrepreneur": Will this round of tariff impact lead to decoupling and disconnection between China and the United States? What opportunities will China's enterprises and industries face?
Zhao Zhongxiu: It is unrealistic and impossible to decouple and break the links between China and the United States. Of course, some areas will be affected. The United States has never relaxed its stance on China in the high-tech field and has adopted "stifling" measures. China is an industrial power, and the United States has realized that it is being caught up by China in the field of cutting-edge technology, so it has adopted a strategy of suppression and containment to maintain the generation gap.
U.S. sanctions have given up their original market, but instead stimulated our motivation for independent development and independent substitution. Our chips may not have a high yield rate and unstable performance at the beginning, but we update and iterate quickly and gradually reach stability, achieving overtake.
"Entrepreneur": Under the dual pressure of tariff barriers and technological blockade, companies are forced to adjust their R&D investment and innovation paths. What systemic changes do you think domestic enterprises can make to improve their independent innovation capabilities? How to build a core technology "moat" to resist external risks?
Zhao Zhongxiu: Export companies are actually both manufacturers and traders. No matter how the w88 model is done, iteration of their own technology is very important. Whether it is research and development by the company itself, outsourcing, outsourcing, or licensing or transferring technology from others, technology cannot be allowed to stagnate. This is a reflection of competitiveness. In fact, those companies in China that are doing well are also constantly iterating technology, mainly reflected in the application process in production. For how to industrialize original technology, in short, there must be a good ecosystem for industrial technological progress.
In this regard, enterprises in the south have done relatively well. They know when they can master their own core elements and technologies and when they need to outsource and outsource. Local governments also do a good job in providing enterprises with some basic and convenient supporting facilities and services, creating a good industrial development ecosystem and helping enterprises upgrade their manufacturing industries. Places such as Wuhu City, Anqing City, and Ma'anshan in Anhui Province have formed a new intelligent manufacturing base along the Yangtze River. Another example is Hefei, which is very good at undertaking new energy vehicles. It can also continuously promote industrial upgrading and progress, and undertake many industries in the Yangtze River Delta region. For enterprises, this is the so-called "choosing the best trees to perch on". Under the new tariff structure, it is even more necessary to cultivate a good ecology.
Only by improving the independent innovation capabilities of enterprises can they gain pricing autonomy and control over technology, brand channels, and financial resources. In a good ecosystem, enterprises can control the pace of product updates, thereby maximizing profits and thus maximizing corporate value.
"Entrepreneur": What shortcomings do you think domestic enterprises have in participating in the formulation of international industry standards and competing for the right to speak in global w88 rules?
Zhao Zhongxiu: Some European and American countries have taken the lead in industrialization and have mature experience in setting standards. As a latecomer, China still has a big gap in terms of standards going global and needs to continue to build. Now we are turning Chinese standards into world standards in areas such as cross-border e-commerce, cross-border trains, 5G, 6G and new energy vehicle batteries. This locks the track in advance and strengthens our leading advantage. In the future, we will not only face the choice of using American standards or European standards, but we can use Chinese standards to promote them all over the world.
The tariff war provoked by the United States has accelerated the process of adjustment and restructuring of global w88 rules. China firmly supports the multilateral trading system with the World w88 Organization as its core, actively advocates and promotes the reform and improvement of original rules, promotes the formulation and popularization of new topics and new rules such as green w88, and achieves the effect of "new wine in old bottles".
