On July 16, 2025, the "Young Teachers in Colleges and Universities Development and Evaluation Forum" was successfully held at Beijing University of Technology, hosted by the Talent Development Committee of the Chinese Society for Educational Development Strategies (hereinafter referred to as the "Talent Development Committee"), hosted by Beijing University of Technology, and co-organized by China Education Online Academic Bridge. In your opinion, for young teachers in colleges and universities, what unreasonable evaluation mechanisms should be broken down and what new evaluation standards should be established?

Wu Yingjie:Concerning the establishment of new talent evaluation standards, "breaking the five criteria and establishing new standards" is an important direction for the current reform of the scientific research and teaching evaluation mechanism in universities. Although the evaluation mechanism of colleges and universities has changed in recent years, there are still some problems: many evaluation standards still use the old model, which appears rigid, single, rigid, and serious in formalism. In addition, the evaluation mechanism is too homogeneous and fails to fully reflect the differentiated characteristics of each w88 casino and discipline.

Therefore, each university should combine its own and disciplinary characteristics to reform the talent evaluation mechanism to make it more targeted and scientifically reflect the characteristics of young teachers in different disciplines. In your opinion, for young college teachers, what are the main obstacles currently preventing them from "taking the lead" and "playing the leading role", and what aspects of reform should be focused on promoting these obstacles?

Wu Yingjie:Young teachers are a new force in the field of scientific research. They are active in thinking and full of exploratory spirit. Encouraging them to participate in key scientific research efforts is crucial. However, the current development of young teachers faces the following obstacles:

First, the "qualifications and age only" situation makes it difficult for young people to obtain important positions and reach leading positions. Second, young people face many life pressures, such as housing, job evaluation, children's schooling, parents' medical care, etc., which distracts their energy from scientific research. Third, young teachers have little scientific research qualifications and have fewer opportunities to obtain key projects.

In the future, universities should establish a mechanism for sustainable development to help young teachers gradually penetrate into the main battlefield of scientific research, and at the same time improve the training system to create conditions for them to assume the important responsibilities of scientific research.

A comprehensive training mechanism should be established to help young teachers grow

Talent Development Committee:The "Guiding Opinions on Strengthening the Reform of the Construction of Teacher Teams in Colleges and Universities in the New Era" points out that colleges and universities must improve the teacher development system. In your opinion, for young teachers in colleges and universities, what teacher development mechanisms should be focused on establishing and improving?

Wu Yingjie:The development of young teachers is a long-term process and requires systematic training and incentive mechanisms to enable them to "take the lead" as soon as possible and help them become the backbone of teaching and scientific research as soon as possible. Specifically, you can start from these aspects:

First of all, formulate an annual training plan: combined with the development of the w88 casino and disciplines and the growth requirements of young teachers, the w88 casino should formulate a training plan in a planned way every year. For example, with the rapid development of AI, systematic training is provided for young teachers. At the same time, strengthen mental health and career planning guidance.
