On September 12, Tang Xiaobin, a researcher at the National Institute for Opening-up at the w88 casino, and others published an article titled "AI Injects New Vitality into "Improving Quality and Efficiency" of the Cultural Industry" in the "International Forum" section of the Global Times. The following is the content of the article.

Since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, the high-quality development of the cultural industry has been valued by the central and local governments, and my country's cultural industry has also shown a good trend. In particular, the vivid practice of artificial intelligence (AI) technology in the cultural industry has given rise to new forms, new models, and new experiences in the cultural industry. Currently, artificial intelligence is reshaping the cultural industry ecology in all aspects, from cultural product creation to communication experience, from cultural heritage restoration to resource protection, from industrial operation to industrial upgrading, injecting new vitality into the high-quality development of my country's cultural industry.

First of all, artificial intelligence provides new impetus for the transformation of the production methods of the cultural industry.Innovation is the fundamental force for the transformation of production methods and the first driving force for the high-quality development of the cultural industry. As a disruptive force in the new round of scientific and technological revolution, artificial intelligence has achieved important innovations in core technologies in the field of cultural industry production and creation with cutting-edge and pioneering advanced technologies. For example, Jingdezhen, the millennium-old porcelain capital, has greatly improved production efficiency and achieved a significant jump in monthly ceramic production capacity by introducing an artificial intelligence pattern generation system and 3D printing production line. At the same time, artificial intelligence can realize personalized, creative customization and services of content creation according to user needs, activate creative boundaries, and break the thinking limitations of traditional creation. Artificial intelligence composition platforms such as Amper Music and SunoAI can quickly generate music works required by users and adapt to related film and television productions; artificial intelligence painting tools such as LiblibAI can generate visual materials that meet the requirements based on user descriptions to assist game screen creation... Artificial intelligence has penetrated into every aspect of cultural content creation, actively promoting important changes in the basic fields of the cultural industry.

Secondly, artificial intelligence creates new opportunities for “improving quality and efficiency” in the cultural industry. The high-quality development of the cultural industry requires improving the quality of cultural products and enhancing the benefits of cultural products. Artificial intelligence technology has enriched the forms of cultural products, especially the close integration with VR, XR and big data, etc., innovated the experience model of cultural scenes, and strengthened the confidence of the cultural industry to "go global". For example, the "Digital Scripture Cave" launched by the Dunhuang Academy creates the possibility of "touching" precious scriptures for domestic and foreign users through an immersive experience, and has become a typical representative of the cross-border spread of China's excellent traditional culture. The overseas tour project of "Chinese Odyssey: Beijing Central Axis" uses artificial intelligence technology to "activate" traditional culture, allowing foreign audiences to experience the beauty of Chinese culture in a more vivid and profound form. At the same time, the use of artificial intelligence to refine iconic cultural elements and shape a cultural industry chain with IP as the core can improve the operational efficiency of cultural products and help the cultural industry "go overseas." New scenarios of cultural experience and new modes of communication and operation driven by artificial intelligence are injecting new vitality into the "improving quality and efficiency" of the cultural industry.

Thirdly, artificial intelligence provides new means for the restoration, protection and inheritance of cultural heritage.Cultural heritage carries historical civilization and is an important link connecting the past, present and future. However, it faces problems such as vulnerability, difficulty in repair, and difficulty in deciphering. The use of artificial intelligence technology can greatly improve the protection efficiency and restoration accuracy of cultural heritage, and enable traditional culture to achieve "living inheritance."

Through image recognition and natural language processing technology, artificial intelligence allows the exhibits in the museum to "speak", allowing the public to understand history and culture more vividly. In terms of risk monitoring and early warning, artificial intelligence combined with sensors can provide early warning of possible damaged locations of cultural heritage through comprehensive analysis of the geographical and meteorological environment where cultural heritage is located, providing an important reference for cultural heritage protection. For example, the Forbidden City uses artificial intelligence to monitor the temperature and humidity of exhibition halls, diseases of ancient buildings, and settlement of city walls. It also uses historical data to train models to monitor the deformation of the wooden structure inside the palace, and then formulate targeted reinforcement measures.

At this stage, in order to give full play to the continuous escort of artificial intelligence technology to the cultural industry, we must pay attention to the following points.First, we must clearly understand the technical tool attributes of artificial intelligence. The widespread application of artificial intelligence in the cultural industry provides unlimited possibilities for the in-depth development of the industry. We must acknowledge the important opportunities it brings to the development of the industry and industry, but we must clarify its tool attributes and auxiliary roles, and focus on giving full play to the dominance of human creation. It is necessary to avoid excessive "AI dependence". For example, in the creation of cultural content, we must be wary of the homogenization and following of cultural works that seriously dilute cultural diversity, and even fall into the misunderstanding of "traffic first". In the process of restoring cultural heritage, it is necessary to avoid the phenomenon of relying on the "technical rationality" of artificial intelligence and ignoring the historical spiritual core, thereby causing "cultural distortion".

The second is to strengthen the quality screening of data samples. The successful operation of various artificial intelligence algorithms is inseparable from massive cultural data resources. Cultural enterprises must promptly avoid the risk of sample data "bias" and interpretation bias during the data collection, mining and cleaning process. A full-process data quality monitoring system should be established based on the special attributes of cultural data, and the quality of cultural enterprise data samples should be checked at all levels from collection to application, providing basic guarantee for the scientific implementation of artificial intelligence models.

The third is to promote the optimization and popularization of artificial intelligence models. Can develop lightweight artificial intelligence plug-ins or clients to reduce the complexity of artificial intelligence tool operations and the threshold for use in the cultural industry. Encourage exchanges and collaborations among cultural enterprises, and use artificial intelligence to drive technological changes in the entire cultural industry, thereby avoiding to a certain extent the "Matthew Effect" caused by uneven distribution of technical resources within the industry and preventing the continuous expansion of the technological gap between different cultural enterprises.
