"Introduction to China's Law on the Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases" is delivered to the front line of Hubei's fight against the epidemic

The "Third March 15 Forum on Learning from Lei Feng for Public Welfare Activities and Donating Books to Wuhan to Fight COVID-19" video conference was held on the 28th.

Professor Li Weimin, leader of the National Consumer Protection Legislation Group and deputy director of the Academic Committee of the China Public Welfare Law Training Center, pointed out at the video conference that in response to issues requiring legal guidance during the epidemic, all parties worked together and donated 1,200 copies of the "Introduction to China's Infectious Disease Prevention and Control Law" edited and produced by the China Public Welfare Law Training Center in two weeks.

He Shan, President of the Consumer Law Research Association of the China Law Society, chaired the meeting and delivered a speech. He introduced that the China Law Society’s Consumer Law Research Association closely followed the Party Central Committee’s anti-epidemic deployment and actively carried out activities to select examples of Lei Feng’s public welfare efforts to fight against COVID-19 on March 15, special reports on cases of fighting against COVID-19, and donation of books to Wuhan to fight against COVID-19.

Zheng Jiandong, founder of Law China and executive director of the China Public Welfare Law Research Center, pointed out that "Introduction to China's Infectious Disease Prevention and Control Law" has both theoretical depth and academic height, and is a highly readable legal popularization book. He believes that the next step should focus on the construction of a legal system for public health emergencies and an emergency management legal system, and revise and improve relevant laws and regulations.

Previously, a joint project team led by the China Public Welfare Law Training Center and the China Law Forum of 50 suggested promptly summarizing the practical experience of various places, revising and improving the relevant emergency prevention and control norms and emergency treatment management methods, and forming institutionalized results as soon as possible; such as revising the Wildlife Protection Law, the Infectious Disease Prevention and Control Law, the Emergency Response Law, and promoting the introduction of biosecurity laws as soon as possible.
