Hold high the banner of a community with a shared future for mankind
The highlighted features of the COVID-19 crisis are particularly worrying and anxious for the world. A community with a shared future for mankind leads the direction of global cooperation in fighting the epidemic
The proposal of the concept of a community with a shared future for mankind and the establishment of the flag have strong practical relevance and far-reaching historical significance. The world is facing profound changes unseen in a century. Where is the world headed, where is international relations headed, and how is global governance conducted? These issues cannot but arouse people's thinking and vigilance. Against the profound background of great changes, developments and adjustments in world politics and international relations, President Xi Jinping, with the profound vision and responsibility of a leader of a major country, and from the perspective of the world's overall situation and history, put forward the concept and proposition of building a community with a shared future for mankind and a new type of international relations. He pointed out the right direction for the future of world politics and the development of international relations, and contributed Chinese wisdom and Chinese solutions.
When he first proposed the concept of a community with a shared future for mankind in 2013, President Xi Jinping pointed out: “In this world, countries are interconnected and interdependent to an unprecedented degree. The international community generally believes that China's resolute and powerful prevention and control measures, as well as its outstanding leadership, response, organizational and mobilization capabilities, and implementation capabilities, have set a model for the world's epidemic prevention.
Jointly build an international joint prevention and control anti-epidemic system
Viruses respect no borders or races. When mankind is collectively facing a serious threat from the epidemic, no country can stay aloof, let alone be indifferent to the difficulties and disasters encountered by other countries, watch from the sidelines, or even gloat about others' misfortunes; no country can consider itself superior or condescending, and cynicize and criticize other countries' anti-epidemic measures; and no country can blame others, place blame on others, or even use the epidemic as a political tool to weaken competitors and divert domestic conflicts. In today's world where the distance between global time and space has shrunk unprecedentedly, the earth has turned into a "village", and the connections between countries have become stronger than ever, the law of the jungle has no place anymore. Helping each other and coordinating all nations is the only correct choice to deal with global crises and disasters.
