On November 24, 2024, Professor Yang Hangjun, Vice Dean of the w88 casino of International Economics and w88 at the w88 casino, accepted a live interview on China International Television's "China 24" column about my country's low-altitude economic development. The following is the content of the interview:

Host: What is the current situation of China's low-level economy? Why is it important?
Yang Hangjun: China’s low-altitude economy (covering activities and industries in airspace below 3,000 meters) is rapidly evolving into an important growth engine. In 2023, the scale of my country's low-altitude economy has exceeded 500 billion yuan, and is expected to exceed 1.5 trillion yuan by 2025 and reach 3.5 trillion yuan by 2035. The importance of developing low-altitude economy lies in its wide range of application scenarios and important contribution to the economy. The low-altitude economy not only shows broad market prospects in the fields of logistics, tourism, agriculture, fire protection and inspection, but also continuously expands new application scenarios through the "low-altitude economy +" model. For example, drones have greatly improved efficiency and safety in urban management, emergency rescue, and power line inspections. As a typical representative of new quality productivity, the low-altitude economy is becoming a new engine to promote high-quality economic development in China. With the increase in policy support and the continuous advancement of technology, the low-altitude economy will play a more important role and become a new driving force for my country's economic growth.

Host: How do policies, technological progress and market demand promote the development of China's low-altitude economy?
Yang Hangjun: Indeed, the main driving forces for China's low-altitude economic development include policy, technology and market demand. These three factors interact to drive its development. From a policy perspective: First, policies such as subsidies, tax incentives, and the inclusion of low-level economic goals in national and provincial work reports provide financial and structural support. Secondly, airspace management reform. The Civil Aviation Administration and other relevant departments have revised dozens of regulations to allow more flexible use of airspace, including low-altitude airspace for general aviation and drones. From a technical perspective: First, companies such as EHang have developed eVTOL aircraft for urban travel and tourism. Advances in battery technology, safety systems and AI-based navigation make commercial applications possible. Secondly, China is a leader in global civilian drone manufacturing, DJI is the global leader in this field, and our country’s drones are widely used in logistics, agriculture, and emergency rescue. From the perspective of market demand: First, there are a wide range of application scenarios. For example, e-commerce platforms require faster delivery systems, and drones provide end-of-line delivery solutions in urban and rural areas. Drones and eVTOLs are becoming increasingly popular in industries such as tourism and agriculture and forestry, and these applications have received significant investment. Secondly, the market potential is huge. As I mentioned earlier, China's low-altitude economy has exceeded 500 billion yuan in 2023 and is expected to reach 1.5 trillion yuan by 2025 and 3.5 trillion yuan by 2035.
To sum up, the synergy of policy support, technological progress and market demand forms a virtuous cycle: policy lowers barriers to innovation and market entry, technological progress meets the operational needs of various industries, and market demand drives further policy and investment initiatives to ensure continued growth. It is this comprehensive strategy that has enabled China to occupy a leading position in the emerging field of low-altitude economy, which will have a profound impact on improving urban traffic conditions, promoting economic growth, and enhancing international competitiveness.
