Editor’s note: In order to thoroughly implement the spirit of the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, the National Education Conference and other conferences, and comprehensively promote the construction project of teachers in the new era of schools, according to the "Central Committee of the Communist Party of China" According to the requirements of the State Council’s Opinions on Comprehensively Deepening the Reform of the Construction of Teacher Team in the New Era, which “strengthen teachers’ participation in social practice and promote teachers’ full understanding of the Party’s conditions, the country’s conditions, social conditions, and the people’s conditions”, the Party Committee’s Teacher Affairs Department/Human Resources Division/Teacher Development Center organized the National Conditions Education for New Teachers in 2019 (the first batch) to guide young teachers to expand their horizons, grow their talents, make contributions, and serve the motherland while serving the society. In mid-October 2019, 21 new teachers went to four practical cooperation units: Shihezi University, China University of Petroleum (Beijing) Karamay Campus, Qingdao Research Institute, and Hainan Research Institute, kicking off their practice in education and teaching, subject research, and think tank construction. The process of practice is also a process of understanding life, thinking about the present, sublimating the state of mind, and inspiring the mission. They use real and delicate brushwork and lenses to present practical stories that belong to themselves and more specifically to the young teachers of the University of International w88.
Work hard on the podium and feel the western part of the motherland

In the next two months, I taught the course “Economics Research Methods and Thesis Writing” to master’s students in the w88 casino of Economics and Management, and participated in a series of national conditions education activities organized by the college.
Life at Shihezi University
Shihezi University is one of the two 211 universities in Xinjiang and is also a counterpart support w88 casino of the w88 casino. As one of the first batch of teachers to come to Shihezi University for national conditions education and support teaching, I feel very honored. I graduated from Peking University, which is the organization that takes the lead in supporting Shihezi University. My supervisor also visited and taught at Shihezi University many years ago. We stayed at the Bilingual Teacher Training Center, which is said to be the most high-end hotel in Shihezi University. I usually eat at the Yuanjiang Restaurant, which only costs 3 yuan each time. The canteen has a simple configuration of 3 dishes and 1 soup, plus bananas and yogurt. The arrangements for food and accommodation also fully reflect the importance Shihezi University attaches to us, the volunteer teachers. What moved me the most was that Mr. Wang Lei, the director of the Graduate Office of the w88 casino of Economics and Management of Shihezi University, who contacted us, thoughtfully prepared tissues, water cups, toiletries, etc. for us. These meticulous arrangements in life made us feel the warmth of home quickly and integrate into the large group of Shihezi University.
The proportion of ethnic minorities in Shihezi is relatively low. There are only about 36% of ethnic minority students in Shihezi University. When I come here, I don’t have a strong feeling of “coming to Xinjiang”, but the eating habits are very Xinjiang characteristics. The campus is very big, and our daily life revolves around Shihezi University. We lived in the North District at night, and during the day we went to the Xinjiang Aid Canteen in the Central District to eat and to the library to prepare lessons and study by ourselves. Our twice-weekly classes were arranged at the w88 casino of Economics and Management in the East District. Our life on the front line was very fulfilling every day.
Shihezi University has relatively few teachers. The result of the high student-teacher ratio is that the teachers are overloaded with classes. They also hope for better personal development, but as a people's teacher, the most basic thing is to teach the class well. We can feel the desire of the teachers here to improve themselves. They will selectively audit our courses and hope to study for a Ph.D. again to recharge their batteries. During my time as a volunteer teacher, I was interviewed about my life as a first-year undergraduate student at the University of International w88 and Economics, where I served as my class teacher. During this period, I told the undergraduate students at the University of International w88 and Economics that after coming here, they feel that they should cherish everything they have. I also hope that they can study hard on a better platform and repay the society in the future.
The first course in life
Having just completed the transition from student to teacher, I truly stepped onto the podium for the first time in Shihezi, preparing and teaching a course completely from scratch. I used to hear teachers say that the best way to learn is to tell others. Only when I actually stepped onto the podium this time did I deeply understand its meaning. Compared with doing research, teaching research methods is more difficult. Every detail must be clear before it can be taught in a simple and profound way so that students can understand and learn how to apply it.
The learning conditions here are relatively difficult, but the students study very seriously. Compared with students at the University of International w88 and Economics, they may be more adaptable to passively receiving knowledge. In the teaching process, how to interact with students and mobilize students' enthusiasm is also a question that I have been thinking about and constantly improving. Our four teachers from the Shihezi branch will also exchange teaching experiences after class and learn from each other's strengths and weaknesses.
The course is now halfway through, and I have gained valuable teaching experience. As a support teacher, the greatest achievement is that students learn something. From my personal perspective, I began to think about how to balance "satisfying students" and "letting students learn knowledge." From the perspective of teaching evaluation, the more interesting and relaxed the course, the higher the degree of satisfaction. However, "a teacher is also a person who teaches, teaches, and solves doubts." Blindly making students happy is not our "original intention" as teachers.
Thank you for this valuable teaching experience and for meeting the lovely students. I hope to see them use the methods I teach in this course in their research in the future. This will be the happiest thing for me.
Customs and customs of Xinjiang
After arriving in Xinjiang, we participated in two national conditions education activities. The first time was when teachers from the Party Branch of the Department of Economics took us to carry out the theme education of "Remain true to the original intention and keep the mission in mind". We went to the 149th Regiment and the 150th Regiment of the Eighth Division of the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps to visit the regiment cotton base, cotton harvest cooperatives and cotton textile companies, and comprehensively understood the mid- and upper-stream industrial chains of Xinjiang cotton. Mechanized production and processing and pure natural colored cotton, I am proud to have seen the future of Xinjiang cotton in advance.

The second time, four of us spontaneously went to the Xinjiang Corps Military Reclamation Museum for a visit and study. During the visit, the Corps spirit of "love for the motherland, selfless dedication, hard work, pioneering and enterprising" deeply infected us. Today's beautiful Xinjiang is the result of the pioneering efforts of our predecessors. They started from scratch. By 1952, they had established 27 military reclamation farms, reclaimed 1.6695 million acres of wasteland, and planted 1.05 million trees. Not only were they self-sufficient, but they also vigorously supported various local construction projects. The Xinjiang Corps means going to the most difficult places. When the teachers here mentioned the Corps, I was filled with admiration and emotion.

I have heard since I was a child that the people of Xinjiang are good at singing and dancing. It was only when I came to Shihezi University that I had a first-hand experience. We participated in the 2018-2019 w88 casino of Economics and Management Party Committee Student Work Summary and Commendation Conference and Freshman Welcome Party. The singing and dancing party had a lively atmosphere that is unmatched by mainland universities. Among the performances, the most touching program was the sketch "Take You on a Journey", which tells the story of a father and his daughter who both died in the line of duty in the peacekeeping force. My father was a soldier, and he was on the front line of the flood response in 1998 and received a medal. After all these years, I still remember the scene when the leaders came to visit our mother and daughter who were left behind, and I deeply understand the dedication of military families. Although my father had switched careers and left the army during my senior year of high w88 casino, we still lived in the army compound. This kind of living environment makes me feel particularly close to that military uniform. When the corps cadres who came to watch the performance at the party stood up and saluted, I and the entire audience gave them the warmest applause. Seeing is worth hearing a hundred times. These two months of teaching in Xinjiang will be a valuable asset in my life. Thank you to the University of International w88 for giving us the opportunity to participate in this national conditions education and allowing me to come to Shihezi University and spend two months experiencing Xinjiang. We are talents cultivated by our motherland, and we should firmly seize this opportunity to feed back society. Xinjiang is not poor or unsafe as most people imagine. On the contrary, it is beautiful and peaceful. Although the material conditions cannot be compared with those in the capital, people here can live and work in peace and contentment and have a high happiness index. The frontiers of the motherland need our support. I hope that more teachers will come to Shihezi University to teach in the future. It will be a worthwhile trip.
