[Editor's Note] In order to thoroughly implement the spirit of the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, the National Education Conference and other conferences, and comprehensively promote the construction project of teachers in the new era of schools, according to the "Central Committee of the Communist Party of China" According to the requirements of the State Council’s Opinions on Comprehensively Deepening the Reform of the Construction of the Teacher Team in the New Era, which “strengthen teachers’ participation in social practice and promote teachers’ full understanding of the Party’s conditions, the country’s conditions, social conditions, and the people’s conditions”, the Party Committee’s Teacher Affairs Department/Human Resources Division organized a national conditions education for new teachers in 2020 to guide young teachers to expand their horizons, grow their talents, make contributions, and serve the motherland while serving the society. In late September 2020, 32 new teachers went to four practice sites in Qingdao, Shandong, Shenzhen, Guandong, Haikou, Hainan, and Xishuangbanna, Yunnan, kicking off their practice of education, teaching, subject research, and think tank construction. This magical paradise is also the ideal destination that our country has always longed for in the practice of national conditions.
The moment the flight flew over Jinghong City, the capital of Xishuangbanna Dai Autonomous Prefecture, I was deeply attracted by this wonderland of nature composed of high mountains and ravines, winding rivers, and vast rainforests. For me, after flying thousands of kilometers and finally arriving at the ideal paradise in my heart, I feel so grateful that it is hard to describe. For Xishuangbanna, the arrival of me, a stranger from afar, is destined to form an inseparable bond for her. Mengbalanaxi is like the lover I have been chasing for many years, struggling to find today, and like a friend I have been separated for many years, lamenting the wrong parting, crying and expressing my heartfelt words.

The Paozhuqing Village Group, located in Mengyuan Administrative Village, Guanlei Town, Mengla County, Xishuangbanna Prefecture, is the paired assistance target of my practice unit, Dai Medical College of West Yunnan University of Applied Technology. After a morning drive, I followed the leaders and colleagues of Dai Medical College to arrive at Mengyuan Village, a village located on the China-Laos border, and received the poverty alleviation survey task. After the row, several colleagues and I visited several poor Yao people in the Paozhuqing Village Group. During the investigation and conversation, the Yao people were kind and friendly, and enthusiastically poured tea and brought out fruits for us. The words and deeds of these poor people infected me in every way. Although they were poor, their hearts were extremely bright and kind, and their hearts were as pure as the mountains they were in. This is the most direct impression I have on ordinary people in Xishuangbanna, who are simple, friendly and optimistic. I think this is the optimistic and persistent belief of the descendants of Dashan in life.
Under the leadership of Professor Nie Qu, Dean of Dai Medical College, we visited Mengbala, a characteristic tourist town in Menghai County. By participating in the medical and health care project demonstration meeting, we gained an in-depth understanding of the current development trends and economic growth points of characteristic tourist towns. We also learned about the rich and excellent health and wellness in Xishuangbanna. I am shocked by the tourism resources. The unique geographical conditions and natural environment have created Xishuangbanna's unique tourism resources and added a lot of fun to people's lives here. These rich resources require further understanding and research to help the local government better develop tourism projects, drive local economic development and lift people out of poverty. As young scholars, it is our duty to provide advice and suggestions to local governments through research to better promote the transformation and implementation of research results and promote local economic and social prosperity.
After completing the intensive investigation and research activities, under the arrangement of the academic affairs department of the hospital, I began to get on the right track in my teaching work. The most happy and unforgettable time is when I can always feel the enthusiastic smiles of colleagues and students on campus after busy classes every week, and I can always feel the happiness and joy of the people living here. During the two months, spending time with my colleagues and students was always so peaceful and beautiful, as if I had returned to my own university life. In the classroom, the serious and lively performance of the students gave me great comfort and made me feel the desire and interest in knowledge among students in border areas. In general, the two months of national practice activities are extremely fulfilling, but also so short. Through two months of getting along, I have established a deep friendship with my colleagues and classmates in the practice unit, and I have been completely integrated into the teaching and research activities here.
