Beijing Zhaojialou, as an important landmark of the May 4th Movement, carries profound historical significance. After the renovation, the Zhaojialou site was reopened to the public and operated as the Zhaojialou Hotel. The exhibition area inside the hotel focuses on four themes: tracing the origin of Zhaojialou, the May 4th Movement, burning Zhaojialou, and passing on the fire. The office scene of Li Dazhao was reproduced on site, and visitors heard the voices of revolutionary patriots such as Shao Piaoping through the ancient telephone, which vividly reproduced the passionate fighting spirit and patriotic sentiments of young students during the May Fourth Movement. All teachers and students carefully visited the exhibition, understood the spirit of the May Fourth Movement in the mark of history, and gathered the powerful force to forge ahead in the new era under the guidance of the patriotic sentiments of the revolutionary ancestors. At the end of visiting the exhibition, all teachers and students recited famous lines from Mr. Li Dazhao's "Youth" to remember this glorious moment together.

After visiting the internal exhibition, teachers and students went to burn the Zhaojialou monument and had face-to-face communication with old party members. Under the leadership of Party branch secretary Chai Jiaqi, and with the explanation of the commentator, I had a deep understanding of Zhaojialou and the May Fourth spirit behind it.
Zhaojialou was once the residence of Zhao Zhenji, a great scholar in the Ming Dynasty, and later became the residence of Cao Rulin. It is famous for the "Burning of Zhaojialou" incident. It is now the Beijing Patriotism Education Base and is known as the "red landmark" in the Hutong.
The "Zhaojialou Site" sign and the "May 4th Patriotic Movement" relief are awe-inspiring. During the May Fourth Movement, for the sake of the dignity of the country and the nation, students took to the streets regardless of safety, demanding that national traitors be punished and the sovereignty of Shandong be restored. They set fire to Cao's house and beat Zhang Zongxiang. This action was just and courageous.

In front of the burning Zhaojialou monument, I couldn’t help but wonder who held the flag high back then? Who is raising their arms and shouting for the country and the nation? Walk the May Fourth Road often, and the spirit of the May Fourth Movement will remain evergreen. In cordial conversations with veteran party members and comrades, I deeply felt the charm of the May Fourth spirit across the ages. The old comrade told me sincerely: “We must conscientiously study and implement General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important message of ‘inheriting and carrying forward the May Fourth Spirit’, and deeply understand the historical significance of the May Fourth Movement and the contemporary value of the May Fourth Spirit.” I realized that times are different, but the power of youth remains the same, inspiring each generation of young people to work hard for the prosperity of the country.
