It aims to summarize and display the major achievements in teaching material construction since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, and to commend outstanding teaching materials at all levels and advanced collectives and individuals who have made outstanding contributions. The National Teaching Materials Construction Award is the highest award in the field of teaching materials. It is a major measure to review and display the achievements of teaching material construction in serving the party and the country’s talent cultivation, enhance the sense of honor and responsibility of teaching material workers, and promote the construction of a world-class teaching material system with Chinese characteristics.

A total of 11 undergraduate textbooks and 1 postgraduate textbook were recommended to participate in this selection event.
