The "Chinese University Think Tank Development Report (2017)" takes the annual global think tank development report launched by James McGann, a scholar at the University of Pennsylvania, as a reference, and combines China's national conditions and university characteristics to adjust the four indicators of "resources-utility-results-influence" into the "three-dimensional (FAC) model" and evaluation index system for Chinese university think tank evaluation, namely fitness-X dimension and activity-Y Dimension, contribution-Z dimension. The research team selected nearly 200 local Chinese university think tanks. After special research, data collection, strength comparison and compatibility screening, activity search, contribution analysis, setting of sub-item weights, and integration of indicator data, the first top 100 ranking of Chinese university think tanks was finally formed.
