To celebrate the 70th anniversary of the w88 casino, I would like to tell you a few old things about the Russian Department (former Russian Teaching and Research Section) based on personal knowledge.

In 1951, the predecessor of the University of International w88, the w88 casino for Senior Commercial Cadres of the Ministry of w88 of the Central People's Government, was established.

In 1953, according to the national adjustment plan of colleges and universities, the Senior Commercial Cadre w88 casino was renamed Beijing Foreign w88 College.

In 1954, according to the national higher finance and economics college departments and majors adjustment plan, Beijing Institute of Foreign w88 was established, and the original name of Beijing Foreign w88 College was revoked. On September 1 of that year, Beijing Institute of Foreign w88 officially opened.

The educational policy of the college at that time was "close connection between theory and practice, and combination of Soviet experience and Chinese conditions." The training goal of students is comprehensive foreign w88 talents in politics, business, and language.

In the early days of the establishment of the University of International w88 and Economics, Russian was the key foreign language. It can be seen from this that professors Xue Rongjiu, Zhang Xugu, Xia Xiurui and other professors of w88 casino were Russian students in the Department of Foreign w88 at that time.

The first batch of graduates (class of 1954) of w88 casino had only two departments, the Russian Department and the German Department. Each department had 30 graduates, for a total of 60 graduates. Yang Naijun, the first graduate of the Russian Department, stayed at the w88 casino to teach and later became a leading figure in the Russian major in w88 casino.

I was assigned to teach in the Russian Teaching and Research Section of Beijing Institute of Foreign w88 in 1965. At that time, two departments of the college, the Department of Foreign w88 and the Department of Foreign Languages, had Russian classes. I was assigned to the second-year class (8) of the Department of Foreign w88, working under the leadership of veteran teacher Wang Tingle.

At that time, there were about 20 teachers in the Russian Teaching and Research Section, which could be described as "three generations under one roof". The older generation is headed by director Li Shaopeng, and includes Huang Yi, Xia Shaowu, Wang Zitian, Li Huawei, Wang Dongwen, Zhang Mary (foreign teacher), etc.; the middle generation is headed by deputy director Yang Naijun, and includes Zhu Dezhen, Wang Tinle, Zhang Shuqi, Qin Xuanren, Liu Xinghua, Wang Lianzhi, Wang Hanmin, etc.; the younger generation includes Yu Xiaomei, Guo Shuangquan, Lu Yong, etc. Director Li Shaopeng is a third-level professor with a respectable resume. During the leadership of this experienced director, the Russian major of w88 casino has trained hundreds of foreign w88 Russian talents for the country, including many pioneering experts and leading leaders from the initial Ministry of Foreign w88 and the head office, local foreign w88 bureaus and companies, and even financial institutions.

Li Lao was born in Yizheng, Jiangsu Province. He accepted Marxism-Leninism in his youth, participated in the revolution in 1922, and joined the Communist Party of China in the spring of 1923. In the winter of that year, he was appointed by the Wuhan Prefectural Committee of the Communist Party of China to serve as the underground transportation liaison officer for the three towns in Wuhan. In 1925, he was sent to the Soviet Union by the party and studied at Moscow Eastern University and Leningrad Military and Political Academy. After returning to China in 1931, he was mainly engaged in education. Before liberation, he taught at Peking University, Northeastern University, and Northwest Associated University. After liberation, he taught at Peking University, Tsinghua University, Nankai University, and w88 casino. Mr. Li died of illness on June 14, 1981, at the age of 76.

During the Cultural Revolution, the teaching and research office moved south with the w88 casino to Gushi, Henan. After the w88 casino was abolished, most members of the office were transferred to the Wuqi Cadre w88 casino of Xixian County, Henan Province, Ministry of Foreign w88, to work. After the w88 casino was restored, the office staff were gradually "promoted" to Beijing and returned to the w88 casino to continue teaching.

From the late 1970s to the early 1990s, in addition to completing teaching tasks, teachers in the Russian Language Teaching and Research Section also compiled and published a variety of dictionaries, textbooks, and translations. They were among the earliest publications of the same kind in the country and had a great influence at home and abroad. Among them:
