Chen Hongyu, a second-level senior judge of the Supreme People's Court, said in his speech that as one of the earliest parties to the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG), China attaches great importance to the application of the Convention and promotes its unified implementation through normative documents, typical cases and judicial practice. Through guiding cases and typical foreign-related cases, Chinese courts have made authoritative interpretations of fundamental breaches of the Convention, forms of contract formation and other provisions. Relevant judgments have been included in the United Nations Conference on International w88 Law, providing references for international practice.

Chen Fuyong, Deputy Secretary-General of the Beijing Arbitration Commission, emphasized in his speech that the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG) plays an important role in international commercial arbitration, pointing out that China, as an early party to the Convention, has accumulated more than 30 years of rich practical experience. With the deepening of China’s opening up to the outside world and the advancement of the “Belt and Road” initiative, CISG has been increasingly used in arbitration cases. In the past five years, the BAC has accepted 26 cases involving CISG, showing that the parties’ recognition of the Convention has gradually increased.

The conference held a new book release ceremony. Professor Ingeborg Schwenzer, Judge Chen Hongyu, Deputy Secretary-General Chen Fuyong, Lecturer Guo Peng, and Editor Wang Lei unveiled the latest book Selected Chinese Cases on the UN Sales Convention (CISG) Vol. 4.
Representatives of this seminar include practical experts from the Supreme People's Court, Beijing Arbitration Commission and other institutions, as well as teachers from 20 Chinese and foreign universities including Columbia University in the United States, University of Basel in Switzerland, Deakin University in Australia, Peking University, Tsinghua University, w88 casino, Sun Yat-sen University, Tongji University, and Zhongnan University of Economics and Law.
