In this lecture, Professor Zhang Ning mainly rethinks the connotation of financial technology and the role of dataPeopleThe role of artificial intelligence, the current situation of financial technology and how to do research will be described in five aspects.
Professor Zhang Ning first introduced an example that is both in-depth and entertaining: facial aspect ratio is related to performance to a certain extent. The professor vividly described the rationality of this point of view from five aspects: facial width and height are related to body testosterone secretion, and the president's alpha advantage is directly related to bank performance. He then naturally and smoothly introduced the role of financial technology in measuring facial width-to-height ratio and brought everyone into the topic.
Then the professor started thinking about what financial technology is. Starting from the introduction of the definition of financial technology, he gradually introduced the positioning and origin of financial technology. In the process, the professor showed his sufficient knowledge reserves and talked about his different opinions on the definition of financial technology. He believes that fintech refers to financial innovation brought about by technology, which can create new business models, applications, processes or products, thereby having a significant impact on financial markets, financial institutions or the way financial services are provided. Taking the elements of financial technology as an example, it introduces how financial technology uses data platforms to combine credit to conduct bond ratings, multi-factor stock selection and support private equity investments, allowing students to have a deeper understanding of the connotation of financial technology.

First, the professor introduced the definition of big data, and then described the role of big data in financial technology from five aspects: ultra-large-scale data, diversified types and sources, fast data growth, data accuracy and reliability, and low value density. While narrating, the professor used a method of combining concepts and examples to allow students to have a deeper understanding of what he was talking about. He used the transformation of big data as an example to describe the progress in data collection, processing, and display from two aspects: dimensionality and speed.
