Xu Zhiyuan, deputy director of the Research Department II of the Xi Jinping Economic Thought Research Center of the National Development and Reform Commission, was invited to give a report to the teachers and students of our institute. The report was titled "New Trends in International Public Procurement Rules and Paths to Promote the High-Quality Development of my country's Bidding and Bidding Industry in the New Era." The report of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China pointed out that the key role of investment in optimizing the supply structure should be enhanced. In the lecture, Director Xu combined with the revision of the four major international public procurement rules such as the United Nations "Model Law on Public Procurement" and pointed out that international public procurement rules pay more attention to sustainable development, the procurement chain extends to needs and results, public procurement procedures are more standardized and flexible, and Public procurement is moving toward new trends such as electronics and standardization; in response to some long-term problems in my country's bidding and procurement, Director Xu proposed future public procurement development directions such as strengthening function and service innovation, encouraging and supporting small and medium-sized enterprises to actively participate in bidding, and actively participating in the formulation of international investment and financing rules.
Subsequently, the participating teachers and students had an in-depth exchange with Director Xu on how to achieve fairness in price and quality in public procurement. The lecture ended successfully in a warm atmosphere.
