Jin Xin, director of the Research Office of the International Liaison Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and secretary-general of the Chinese Council for BRICS Think Tank Cooperation, gave an in-depth and simple explanation on "how to write a policy research report" based on a variety of cases. Jin Xin pointed out that General Secretary Xi Jinping attaches great importance to the construction of think tanks and has issued a series of important instructions on strengthening the construction of new think tanks with Chinese characteristics to guide the development direction of new think tanks with Chinese characteristics. This training session is held to support each governing unit to strengthen its own construction and better transform the wisdom of senior government advice into the effectiveness of serving national strategies. Jin Xin emphasized that major-country diplomacy with Chinese characteristics cannot be separated from scientific and effective decision-making information and intellectual support systems. Think tank scholars are an important part of this system. They need to have the ability to read, talk, write, interact, etc. In particular, they must organically unify academic research and policy research and strengthen the ability to write policy research reports. The Chinese Council is willing to provide more support to think tank experts and scholars to adapt to the characteristics and requirements of policy research faster and better.
Su Zuhui, deputy director of the Research Office of the International Liaison Department of the CPC Central Committee and deputy secretary-general of the Chinese Council for BRICS Think Tank Cooperation, chaired the meeting. Zhao Zhongxiu said that various unfavorable factors currently affecting the comprehensive recovery of the world economy and common global development still exist, various deep-seated conflicts are intertwined, and issues such as the escalation of international and regional hot issues are more prominent.
