Professor Jiang Xianling, deputy dean of the w88 casino of International Business and Economics, attended this event as a guest.

Professor Wang Yijiang talks about how China should become rich

Wang Yijiang first asked a question at the beginning: "Europeans have good welfare and can get rich just by playing. Why can't we get rich even if we risk our lives?" The students present responded positively and expressed various opinions on China's current situation, such as the lack of innovation, the excessive volume of intensive industries, and the wealth of the country and the poverty of the people caused by the distribution mechanism.

Wang Yijiang gave an example of the relationship between goals and rules. Zeng Guofan led his troops like a god, thanks to the military rule that deserters must be killed: with the desired goal, you should choose the appropriate rules and mechanisms to achieve the goal. “Taxi drivers are not allowed to drive tired, but in the end they charge almost8How can drivers increase their income within hours of working? Goals cannot be achieved if mechanisms are not aligned with goals. ” he said.

The students present were attentive

Wang Yijiang said that today’s social and economic mechanisms can be divided into modern state mechanisms and traditional state mechanisms. Modern state mechanisms are concentrated in more than 20 leading economic countries that have achieved democracy, rule of law, and decentralization. However, this does not mean that governments with traditional state mechanisms are not subject to checks and balances. Traditional countries are checked and balanced by people's power, distance and technology, and information asymmetry. The checks and balances of power by people's violence are self-evident. Issues of distance and technology can also be seen from two typical examples: the British Industrial Revolution began in Manchester, far away from London, and the Japanese Meiji Restoration began in vassal fiefdoms far away from Kyoto. The asymmetry of information is reflected in the old Chinese saying, "There is no three hundred taels of silver here." "Money that no one knows about is money that others cannot take away" and "a company has several accounts" also reflect this restriction.

Students actively ask questions

When answering students’ questions, Wang Yijiang said that China’s institutional reform is promising because the Communist Party of China gathers the elites of Chinese society and our party has a strong ability to self-correct mistakes. This was reflected in the way the campaign against illegal capitalists ended when Shanghai was just liberated. The establishment of Mr. Rong Yiren's title as a "red capitalist" has guided the entire Shanghai economy onto the track of normal circulation. “When the whole people had no enough food to eat, the ‘Three Self and One Package’ came; when the national economy was on the verge of collapse, reform and opening up came.” No matter what difficulties China’s economy faces, if we grasp the cyclical pattern of interaction between policy and economy and make it clear that “confidence is more valuable than gold” in the most difficult times, there will be no tomorrow that cannot be reached. “Delegating power and ceding profits is the nuclear weapon of China’s economy. As long as it is detonated, there will be no threshold that China’s economy cannot overcome!" he said.
