Liu Tongfei, a 2022 undergraduate student majoring in Portuguese in the w88 casino of Foreign Languages, and Shi Jiayi, a 2023 undergraduate student majoring in Arabic, had their short video work "Harmony: A Cross-Civilization Dialogue in Chinese Music" with its unique interpretation of mutual learning among civilizations. From the perspective of a folk music learner, this work shows how Chinese folk music has become a cultural bridge connecting the world and conveys the cultural wisdom and humanistic spirit it contains. Through musical notes, it transcends language and national boundaries, conveys the voice of China, and plays the harmony that resonates with tradition and the world.
It is understood that this competition, with the theme of "Building a Better Future Together," is co-sponsored by the China Public Diplomacy Association and Global Network. Supported by the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China and the Chinese Embassy in the Republic of Serbia, and co-organized by the Cyberspace Affairs Office of the Ningbo Municipal Party Committee, the Cyberspace Affairs Office of the Wuxi Municipal Party Committee, the Foreign Affairs Office of the Wuxi Municipal People’s Government, the Propaganda Department of the Xishan District Party Committee, Wuxi Daily Newspaper Group, Wuxi Radio and Television Group (Taiwan), China-Cambodia Cultural Exchange Alliance, Ningbo University, and the Cambodian Research Center of Beijing Foreign Studies University.
The competition uses a two-wheel drive model of "global general competition area + overseas sub-competition area" to issue invitations to the "Belt and Road" co-construction partners. Since its launch in April this year, it has attracted active submissions from creators from more than 130 countries and regions around the world, and nearly 2,000 excellent works have been collected. They used the lens as a window to capture the shocking transformation from blueprint to real scene; used the pictures as evidence to record the moving process from cooperation to win-win, and jointly painted a long scroll of the times that spans mountains and seas and connects people's hearts. According to statistics, the total global views of the competition's works have exceeded 1.7 billion, of which overseas views have reached 200 million.
