On October 12, 2021, I still remember that it was the first day that our group of young teachers arrived in Qingdao after a long journey. Director Liu Jinlan and Teacher You Yonghong, who led the team, shouted "We're home". How to choose a more attractive entry point and how to convey what we have learned in a simple and profound way is a practical exercise for our future teaching model. More importantly, under the arrangement of Dean Kou, the doctors commented on each other's presentations. The charm of interdisciplinary dialogue is fully unleashed here. On the one hand, we marvel at the novelty of research in other fields, and on the other hand, we learn to re-examine our own research topics from a new perspective.

This is the first step for us to take root in grassroots research. Although we already have a doctorate, we spend most of our time in literature and on campus, and do not really understand how what we have learned can be applied in real life. Especially the international relations major I studied often uses countries as the research unit, which is difficult to translate into practical problems that can be touched around me. The Qingdao Research Institute very considerately organized a group of doctoral students to conduct research in Zhangjialou Street. Through discussions with relevant street staff, we not only learned about the grassroots needs for professional research, but also had the opportunity to think deeply about how what we have learned can help realize these demands. More importantly, through dialogue with grassroots departments, we have truly realized the limitations of book knowledge, and with their solid grassroots experience, they can bring us richer and more valuable information. Although we were unable to spend more time with Dean Kou due to the epidemic, in the short exchange, Dean Kou has shown us a respectable teacher image. By looking back at the history of the Qingdao Research Institute, we understand the hardships of starting a business and see the tenacity of starting from scratch. In the usual conversations and laughter, we saw from Dean Kou such valuable qualities as not fearing authority, being brave to speak out, and caring for children. This is the first step for us to meet our partners and develop friendship.“We come from all over the world and come together for the same goal.” This is a sentence we often quoted during our stay in Qingdao. It is not only used to motivate ourselves, but also to express our fate for meeting each other. We are a new group of people at the University of International w88. We came to Qingdao together before we had time to get familiar with the environment and make friends. Unexpectedly, we gained valuable friends here. We bathed in the sunset together at the Olympic Sailing Center, cried together in front of the movie screen, and shared hotpot in the canteen and Haidilao. We get together to study academic issues, discuss rules and regulations, or even complain about trivial matters in life. From being shy and reserved when they first met to finally "revealing their true colors", this is the process of developing from strangers to friends. The collective life in Qingdao may be short-lived, but everyone's emotions have been firmly bound by this experience.
