The theme of this BRICS International Competition Conference is"Opening·Competition·Development" is co-sponsored by the BRICS competition agencies and jointly organized by the State Administration for Market Regulation and the Sichuan Provincial People's Government. The competition policy of China's digital economy should adhere to the concept of equal emphasis on regulation and development, combine the inherent laws of the operation of the digital industry, focus on improving competitiveness on the international stage, encourage innovation, and promote the sustainable and healthy development of the digital economy. In the context of the rapid development of competition policies in the global digital economy, competition law enforcement agencies in the BRICS countries can continue to strengthen exchanges, share their latest law enforcement experience, regulatory concepts and analytical tools, listen to the multi-dimensional practical experience of different countries, and jointly grasp and respond to the opportunities and challenges brought to competition policy in the digital economy era and even the future metaverse era.

The BRICS International Competition Conference is an important pragmatic event within the framework of the BRICS leaders’ meeting.
