Professor Zhang Shaojie took the title "New Progress in Cognitive Pragmatics: Integrated Characteristics and Theoretical Contributions" to sort out the development process of the emerging sub-discipline of cognitive pragmatics, which has been formed by the cross-fusion of cognitive linguistics and pragmatics over the past few decades. Professor Zhang Hong systematically sorted out the research on the cultural presentation of foreign language textbooks around the world in the past ten years, and expected that in the field of future textbook research, the connection between research and practice should be better bridged, and the fragmented characteristics of research in this field should be overcome through interdisciplinary, cross-cutting, interactive and inter-subjective methods. This forum consists of three sub-forums: Theoretical Linguistics, Applied Linguistics, and Translation Studies. During the period, 15 doctoral students' proposal reports and 9 short thesis reports were held. Each doctoral student's speech was commented by three authoritative experts in the relevant field. In the theoretical linguistics group, participating doctoral students discussed polite pragmatics, grammatical constructions, syntactic structures, social media discourse, English-Chinese comparisons, etc.; in the applied linguistics group, participating doctoral students discussed academic English, foreign language textbooks, foreign language education, speech acts, and discourse analysis. Analysis and other topics were discussed; in the translation group, participating doctoral students gave presentations on topics such as translation and national image construction, translation process, terminology translation, Chinese translation of overseas literature, corpus translation research, oral interpretation research, translation ability research, etc. The sub-forums were lively and orderly.
