[Editor’s note]2021 is the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China. Over the past century, in the face of difficulties and tests, the Communist Party of China has retained its original intention of serving the people, shouldered its historical mission, and explored a path suitable for China's development amidst arduous revolution and struggle. The "Party History Calendar" records the major events in the history of the Party that happened on this day in history. When we get closer to the history of the Party and review history, we realize that today is not easy to come by, and we also know that our generation still has a mission to shoulder.

April 1

April 1, 1948Mao Zedong delivered a speech at the Jinsui cadre meeting in Caijiaya Village, Xingxian County, Shanxi Province, summarizing the experience of land reform work and party consolidation work, and expounding the general line and general policy of the Communist Party of China in the current historical stage"A revolution led by the proletariat and by the masses of the people, against imperialism, feudalism and bureaucratic capitalism." The party's general line and general policy in the land reform work is to "rely on the poor peasants, unite with the middle peasants, eliminate the feudal system of exploitation in a step-by-step and differentiated manner, and develop agricultural production."
    April 1, 1949The CCP delegation headed by Zhou Enlai and the Kuomintang government delegation began peace negotiations in Peiping. After consultation, the CCP delegationThe Domestic Peace Agreement (Final Amendment) was proposed on the 15th and April 20 was announced as the final time for signing. The Kuomintang government refused to accept it. The People's Liberation Army then launched a cross-river campaign, and the Kuomintang government's attempt to "rule across the river" went bankrupt.
April 1, 1983The State Council promulgated the "Interim Regulations on State-owned Industrial Enterprises", which stipulates that state-owned industrial enterprises are socialist economic organizations owned by the whole people and implement factory directors under the leadership of the Party committee(Manager) responsibility system and workers’ congress system under the leadership of the party committee.

April 2

April 2, 1948Mao Zedong talks to the editorial staff of Jinsui Daily, expounding the party’s mass line and how to run a good party newspaper. The talk pointed out that the newspapers run by our party and all propaganda work carried out by our party should be vivid, clear, sharp and without hesitation. This is the fighting style that our revolutionary proletariat should have. Our newspaper must also be run by everyone, by the entire people, and by the whole party, and cannot be run by just a few people behind closed doors.
April 2-5, 1959The Seventh Plenary Session of the Eighth Central Committee of the Communist Party of China is here. Held in Shanghai. The plenary session adopted the draft national economic plan for 1959 and inspected the rectification work of the people's communes. The meeting required the commune to recognize the reasonable differences in income between teams and members in terms of unified distribution; in terms of system, implement decentralization of power, three-level management, three-level accounting, and team-based. At the meeting, Mao Zedong made an important speech on working methods.
April 2, 1984Inter-Parliamentary Union Council No.The 134th meeting formally admitted the National People's Congress of the People's Republic of China as a member of the alliance. The original name of the Inter-Parliamentary Union ("IPU" for short) was the "Conference of National Parliaments for the Promotion of International Arbitration". In June 1889, its first conference was held in Paris, France. In 1899, it was renamed "Inter-Parliamentary Union for the Promotion of International Arbitration". April 8, 1946The "April 8th" martyrs were killed. CCP representatives Wang Ruofei and Qin Bangxian (Bogu) who attended the Chongqing Kuomintang-Communist Negotiation and Political Consultative Conference flew back to Yan'an from Chongqing to report and request instructions from the Party Central Committee. Ye Ting, commander of the New Fourth Army, Deng Fa, secretary of the Workers' Committee of the Communist Party of China, and others were also present. Due to the bad weather and extremely poor visibility on the way, the plane lost contact with the ground and lost its direction.
