This essay competition is held by UNIDROIT to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the publication of the General Principles of International Commercial Contracts (UPICC). It is reported that hundreds of papers from all over the world participated in the competition. The vast majority of the winners this time are young and middle-aged European scholars with rich academic achievements and practical experience. Professor Ji Wenhua and Zhang Sihui are the only winners from non-European regions.
