Principal Zhao Zhongxiu extended a warm welcome to the students. He pointed out that the world is currently facing multiple challenges such as intensified climate change, escalating geopolitical conflicts, expanding development deficit, deepening digital divide, and rising unilateralism. In this context, the Global Development Initiative (GDI) proposed by China is committed to building international consensus and promoting the realization of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development with pragmatic actions. The initiative emphasizes inclusive and people-centered development models and provides an important platform for global South-South cooperation. The training course lasts for 14 days, with a total of 32 officials from 9 countries including South Sudan, Uganda, Uzbekistan, Brunei, Malaysia, Nepal, and Fiji participating.
