When we meet again, there is no fresh thrill of first acquaintance, but more warmth and kindness like old friends. The leaders of the institute warmly welcome the return of our seven teachers and actively help everyone solve the difficulties in life. In this second home of the institute, I have been thinking about "what needs to be done" and "what can be done" when I first arrived. My academic background is English rhetoric and writing, with a focus on technical communication. Technical communication is an interdisciplinary subject born in Europe and the United States under the background of economic globalization and the development of information technology. It is the product of the combination of language, information engineering technology, and communication. It is still a new thing in Chinese academic circles, but there is a huge demand in industry. Technical communication not only focuses on technology, but also studies communication and emphasizes customer-centered language services. In American academic circles, business English has a larger name called Professional English, and is often called Technical and Professional Communication. Whether it is technology or occupation, it is all customer-oriented communication. Therefore, if we expand our perspective to look at business English in web3.0 or the smart era, and do a good job in technical communication, it will coincide with the creation of an "economic subject group" by the University of International w88 and Economics - an interdisciplinary research direction that uses economics as a framework to integrate other disciplines. Under the guiding ideology of Qingdao Research Institute’s “Research to Promote Institutes”, I joined the Global Enterprise Research Center of China w88 casino. The second task of the Entry Research Center is to serve as a judge for the Qingdao Shibei District Civil Servant English Style Competition. The theme of this English speech contest is how to promote the construction of core areas through one's own work. In the next month or so of work, I will conduct an on-site inspection of the quality and effectiveness of language services and technical communication of some famous multinational brands in Qingdao, such as Haier, Hisense, Tsingtao Beer, etc. We hope to conduct a preliminary analysis of the language asset systems and content management systems of these multinational companies through research methods such as surveys, interviews, and language analysis, so as to serve the contemporary needs and strategic mission of Chinese companies "going global" from the perspective of language services.
The practice of national conditions has been fruitful so far. From my personal perspective, I combine theory with practice, academia with industry, internationalization with localization, and national conditions with social conditions. I expand my horizons in social services, grow my talents, spread my youth, and put academics into practice, hoping to contribute to local economic development.
