[Editor’s note]The Graduate Student Support Teaching Corps is a national demonstration project of the Youth Volunteer Poverty Alleviation Relay Plan jointly organized and implemented by the Youth League Central Committee and the Ministry of Education. In a short period of time, they did one thing after another that they will never forget. Work hard and teach with no regrets - my story of teaching

Teaching is the main thread that runs through the life of supporting teachers. It is a huge challenge for fresh graduates who have no practical teaching experience. Fortunately, my undergraduate major is English, and I happen to be able to engage in teaching English subjects, so I don’t have to spend extra energy on interdisciplinary studies. Teaching is closely related to my major, and I have had one or two trial teaching experiences. Therefore, when faced with the courses for primary w88 casino students, I used the professional knowledge I learned during my undergraduate period to quickly identify the audience and identify the teaching goals.
After clarifying my goals, I officially started teaching at Wujiaqu No. 3 Primary w88 casino. Over the past year, I have been an English teacher for three classes in sixth grade. During the teaching process, I pay more attention to cultivating children's interest in learning. However, gains and difficulties go hand in hand, and I also encountered some challenges during teaching. The children in Wujiaqu started learning English in the third grade. Although I had done some psychological preparation, I was still caught off guard by the students' initial class performance, dictation and test scores. So I put aside my previous thinking of judging students from my own perspective, and instead understood them step by step, adjusted the difficulty of teaching, and asked questions of different difficulty for children with different foundations, so that students with weaker foundations can also gain a sense of accomplishment by answering correctly. At the same time, I used more encouraging teaching methods, and the results were more surprising than I expected. Children in primary w88 casino are very useful to praise. After receiving encouragement, they gradually begin to pay attention to class and take after-w88 casino homework more seriously. At the beginning of this year, the situation changed again. Due to the epidemic, the start of the second semester was delayed, so I started giving online classes to students at home and started the "anchor life". Online teaching has weakened the interaction between students and teachers. I have to rack my brains to think of how to attract children's attention, and I have to spend more energy than usual in preparing lessons. Recording video lessons and micro lessons for the students in my class is also a great exercise for me. In April, I returned to w88 casino. While taking on the task of teaching English, I also provided online tutoring for individual students who were unable to return to w88 casino to ensure that each student kept up with the pace of other classmates.

The work of the deputy head teacher further narrowed the distance between me and the students and gave me a deeper understanding of their families. Then I learned that some children had younger siblings to take care of; some children's parents worked in nearby group camps or even in southern Xinjiang, and most of their daily contact was by phone; and some children had to go to the surrounding squares to set up stalls in their spare time to support their families. Therefore, I realized that I should be more tolerant and caring towards them instead of focusing on learning. After all, they still have their own life experiences and a wider world.
"Use a short period of time in a year to do something that will be unforgettable for a lifetime." Teaching as a volunteer is undoubtedly a colorful page in my life. Looking back on the past year, the scene of the children singing "Youth" suddenly appeared in front of my eyes when they graduated. "Every time I pass by, it is a harvest." "I am still the same boy as before." I sang it both for them and myself. When they graduate, I wish them to have fire in their hearts, light in their eyes, and always be as sincere as they are now. Now that I have graduated from volunteer teaching life, I wish that the students and I can follow what we want in our hearts and be as comfortable as the wind.
