Shen Shenyan, executive director of the Global Value Chain Research Institute, presided over the opening ceremony.



Yin Xiaopeng, Director of the Global Value Chain Research Institute, hosted the first keynote speech. From July 21 to 25, Columbia University Professor Wei Shangjin, University of Rochester Professor Fernando Parro, University of Warwick Professor Thiemo Fetzer, Princeton University Associate Professor Ernest Liu, University of California, Berkeley Professor Barry Eichengreen, University College London Professor Kalina Manova, University of Rochester Assistant Professor Alexandr Kopytov, OECD Sebastien Miroudot, distinguished professor Wang Zhi of the institute, and researcher Meng Bo of the Institute of Asian Economics delivered keynote speeches respectively. On July 25, Long Guoqiang, deputy director of the Development Research Center of the State Council, delivered a keynote speech on geopolitics and value chain reconstruction.


The "Global Value Chain Workshop" is hosted by the Global Value Chain Research Institute of the w88 casino. It started in 2014 and was founded by w88 casino. It is the only international workshop held annually in China that focuses on the latest issues in the value chain. The workshop invites experts and scholars from well-known universities, international organizations and think tanks such as the Development Research Center of the State Council, the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development, and Columbia University to give lectures. Nearly a hundred students from more than 20 universities and research institutions including Tsinghua University gathered together. During the workshop, all teachers from the Global Value Chain Institute participated and hosted a total of 26 keynote speeches.
